It was just a very long winded and, what I perceived, charged answer; but if you're good, carry on.
Yep, I'm good. Appreciate the check in.
But yeah, that section of code just happens to be pretty convoluted. The *_69_intto itself is pretty easy. But to get there, you'd have to run into the escalation block, which itself has a few checks before it'll run the _69_into call. But escalation itself will only be called on certain conditions at the end of every cycle of certain actions. So yeah, it's not really a "Do X, get Y" block of code. I know everyone just expects to know what button to press for it to do the thing they want, but that's not how it always works, especially with Oni's code. So yeah, the more complicated it is, the longer the explanation.
Also, remember, I am a programmer. This is short in comparison. I also like to set expectations and be straight forward about level of commitment because you get a lot of "Oh! I've got this great idea!" or the "If only there was someone can help me with this." people that end up just flaking out on you. So you learn to set boundaries, conditions and expectations early on to make sure someone doesn't just end up wasting your time.
