The art is nice and so is the story somehow, I expected either no plot at all or the typical it's all about sex so it's a nice surprise. The combat is fine, leveling weapons by grabbing the same one is nice too, just it feels like every single melee weapon is the same but different stats and range. Would have been nice that the battlehammer had had some kind of stun for example.
Going back to a dungeon is choose your own path, that was kinda confusing at first used to the regular connected rooms.
Many choices are choose right or reload and go through all the trouble again since you just can save at the crystals and such choices happen far after saving. That can be a problem if you'd like to see what'd happen taking each.
I read some people asking if it has a recollection room and yeah, it does, but you unlock it after certain part of the story (no spoilers~). I was trying an undefeated run thinking next time I would lose to each enemy and boss but nope, you don't need to, scenes unlock either watching them or progressing through story.
Something I have no clue about is what those "upgrades" for HP/MP/BP are for. My guess was they were consumables for just a single run so I used several of them at once. To my surprise my HP just went down a single one (20HP less so I'm at 180 it seems permanently) and my MP and BP went back to normal. Not sure if it's intended or a bug that if you use some in a row it won't reset all of them but just 1 upgrade. To be honest it feels weird that you can't actually level up your own stats but just your attack since enemies deal lots of damage. It's not actually hard, just if you aren't good at dodging you'll die fairly fast, or have tons of potions ready.
But of course it has bad things, like staggering from time to time. It especially does if you use some spell like regeneration: you'll stagger on each step you take. Sometimes you get random damage as I got in the swamp dungeon: you finish enemies off that were dropping poison on the ground but when the chest appears and poison puddles despawn you get their damage and are poisoned. It seems if you stay far away enough it doesn't happen. Thankfully such bugs will be eventually patched.
Overall very good and a surprise expecting something average. Considering to buy it to support the devs for more.
