So does anyone know if the group that did the translation tends to do patches to fix there shit, or are they a 1 and done type group?
If the game sells well enough KG will bother to actually trhow in fixes until the game works 100% but for the most part its a 1/2 patch and then they forget the game exists, even if bugs still do exist. (currently if u dont want to lose progress u pretty much need to save every 2 minutes due to possible crashes).

Here come the steam version, where every "minor" element of the game disrupted and Disposed.

And the 1st Hint of evidence of it are present in front of you all. School Uniform changed into Gray Shirt. And the title "Academy" changed into more mature element.

If you prefer better translation and uncensor over missing major content, then enjoy!

... Though, there are always a hero who could restore origin version with Steam's translation..
Im pretty sure that if you install the restoration patch the school uniform returns, unless you are playing the game without the r18 content.

Taken from the Kagura Games version(looks like a school uniform to me).

As for the game name KG always changes the names of the games they localize.
Either this is the first game you played localized by them or you havent paid much attention on how they release games.

I aint a fan of KG myself (and the fact they leave every single release half bugged) but what youre saying is incorrect.

Got this manage für Sayakas first Love Hotel scene with the bus Oji-san, any fixes? Playing on the renamed game
No fixes.

That is why i mentioned in the previous post to save every 2 minutes. The "official localization" haz a game breaking bug that haznt been seen since the dev first released the game.

How did KG manage to reintroduce this bug i have no idea but they dont seen very willing to fix it.

the game crash more than i can count, it's like unfinished demo or something.
The game has some very serious memory leak problems. It's supposed to be fixed in the Japanese version. The game crashes, but it seems to take longer, in the Kagura version the game crashes very frequently. Lately, Kagura has been incredibly lazy when it comes to fixing errors. I'm afraid of buying Lust Prison on Saturday and finding a broken game that takes them a month to fix.

Chichigami Mansion has been a month since the errors were reported and still no fixes and they are serious like black screens.

Oh yeah Lust Prison will be a mess, expecially since its a wolfrpg game. Even dazed took a while to get his translation working perfectly (since the game would crash if the text went out of the dialogueboxes/menu limits, etc), and well... Lust Prison is full of tiny little menus.

As for KG, they dont care if a game gets fully fixed as long as people get enough gameplay time to stop them from actually refunding the game (on steam). They get the money and you get a bugged game, epic deals.
They sometimes even ban people who bug report from their server, just show how much kg haz fallen in terms of caring and quality.

Is it still salvageable in terms of translations and other things, or has it reached 072Project levels?

Its still way better than what 072 project and bokiboki do (aka paid low quality mtls) , but its still not 100% accurate.

Kagura Games isnt exactly a translation company, they are a localization company, they localize the games as they feel like it and its pointless to tell them that a "voice line says X but the text is saying Y" that they will just shrug their shoulders.

If you want a example (from the top of my head), take a look at the leanna game from acerola, where they localized shotas etc to "gnomes", and to this days they are still gnomes.
Another example is Chichigami as "chief god" or something of the sort instead of "god of tits" in Welcome to Maison Chichigami. (just quoting danadana).

Edit: Gotta wonder why danadana erased his message.

Maybe, as danadana said, it's because the one file with those localizations isn't included in the patch. Or maybe it's their decision, as you said, they're mostly a localization company, not a translation one. Though I'm sure some official translators who style themselves as localizers would say otherwise.

I accidentally deleted the message and was too lazy to write it again, but to summarize, Kagura sells its games on Steam without sexual content. They only sell the story, and it's modified to be friendly and not have adult words. The Kagura patch doesn't change the translation, it only adds sexual content.

So, ultimately, Kagura's translations are fine, but they change phrases to censor them and make the game friendly so they can sell it on Steam. They also modify the cover images so Steam doesn't hide it. And not only that, the games no longer come with the sexual content tag.

Another example is that they are going to translate the Orcosft game, which would be translated
The Seeding Uncle Goes to Another World - The Impregnator Gonzo, Drifted to the Village of Elves -
and they changed the name to isekai revitalizer

Basically they can't promote the game on Steam if the game is called The Seeding Uncle Goes to Another World - The Impregnator Gonzo, Drifted to the Village of Elves -.

Kagura only modifies the texts, but Shiravune even modifies the content of the images.

TLDR: They take a lot of liberties when they localize the games.
I can give a example i saw not long ago with the Monica game (acerola) where theres actually voice lines.

Everyday Monica says something like さーて、お仕事お仕事! aka "Lets work work work" both in voice line and japanese text, and go figure kagura games changed something as simple as that to "Lets make some cheddar".

Wonder what did that sentence did to warrant being made "friendlier". (its just a very small example)

Meaning: Slang term for money. Derived from the fact Americans on welfare used to receive cheese as part of their benefits, cheddar is money in this context

Oh i did google what it meant, doesnt change the fact that it isnt really accurate. One thing is work, the other is making money, they are not synonyms.

But in the end, what matters is that the localization used doesnt matchthe japanese voice nor the japanese text. (and like all acerola games, this one is voiced).

On the topic of Sayaka addiction, kg did make a 1.02 patch, but unfortunally it still didnt fix anything.
