Yeah sure, interesting, that loads of adult game devs still store their working data on Harddrives and got no Backups...
Especially since a lot of them claim at the same time to do their work on an underpowered laptop, that's why renders take so long and are really grainy etc...

Seriously, who comes up with that shit, it's pretty much impossible to buy a harddrive based system, one can do any serious work with for a decade now... And no, or no recent data backups, in a time where that concept is even understood by grannys...

Pro tip, just tell people you wanna have a break and there will be no updates for a while - no shame in that...

Thanks a bunch dude for that info! I would have eventually ignored the game for not having a hint/WT system. That is also for all the devs out there. You need to thank the Mod devs for helping your game. I'm pretty sure alot of players would agree with me.

Bonus points if you do the voices for them. I give the butch looking 'hot milfs' with jawlines that could crack coconuts the manliest voices I can. Sex scenes are great too cause half the time they look bored as fuck, probably because whoever made Generic Animation #3 through to Generic Animation #17 forgot about that, just like they forgot how physics work. Though I usually use the given dialogue in those cases, cause monotone delivery while they're supposedly having the best sex of their lives for the fourth time that hour cracks me up.

To be fair the WT is not really necessary for this game.
None of the choices have any lasting impact on the story, and some choices show different scene (for example one choice in the game either leads to cunilingus or fingering).

And by the way, I've been playing through the game since I posted the temp fix for ep1-5, and it turns out it only works properly until the end of ep3, then the game throws some errors about audio files not found (the errors can be skipped safely but there are quite a few of them) because the dev probably changed the file structure of the game in the latest update.

You're being overly cynical for no good reason, Mr. Pro. For a lot of these devs, this is their first time getting involved with software development in the first place. A lot of them are self-taught hobbyists who learn just enough to make sense of the templates to get their renpy game put together and to fix mistakes. So it's not outside the realm of possibilities that some important fundamentals might have been missed. Things like redundancies and versioning. I wouldn't doubt that half the devs here have never even heard of Git much less learned how to use it or learned why it's so important.

So you can give the dev the benefit of the doubt. This is a learning experience, which you should know all about since you're a "pro" and all. It's a minor setback anyway and none of us lost a damn thing in the process. There's no reason to whine about it. Besides, I don't see you doing any better, Mr. "pro tips".

All fine, but pulling the ancient hardware issue out your ass brings you nowhere, when you got issues, got stuck, or just got overwhelmed. Failing and mistakes are part of the learning curve, just own it.
Oh come on version management and the likes is over the head of a lot of people, simple backup copies is not.

Whats so funny about using the term pro tip? I used it in a cynical manner here, but yeah stating how it is to fans/customers/followers is professional behavior, people will understand if you got issues and communicate them, people will get angry if you state obvious bs.

Since you find that so amusing... yes software and game development is my day job, so tips to aspiring developers are not to far fetched from a person who does that shit for decades I'd say...

This sounds like a gripe about a certain doctor by the name of bones and his constant bout with debilitating hemorrhoids. I think HotVenusStudios learned the value of the one drive. It's not only a spying tool, but it can save your ass(ets) on the rare occasion that a drive dies.
