RPGM - Completed - Sol Rui -after mini- [Steam] [Enokippu]

What is essentially a collection of micro games ranging from rpg to survival horror, Sol Rui is an excellent example of how to both weave a good narrative and deliver good corruption mechanics by using simple building blocks to make a great foundation. As someone who typically attempts a corruption free playthrough on my first run, this game is fairly manageable with some liberal save-scumming, though I’d say most of the corruption is manageable if you’re careful with how you play the micro games.

Porn-wise, I’d say it’s mostly rape, tentacle and gangbang focused which makes things a bit stale for me, but there animations and Rui’s onscreen model are nicely done so it’s never a letdown. In terms of plot, I’d say it’s both an efficient and effective magical girl narrative that makes what extra effort it takes to get the true ending worth it for the emotional payoff.

The game is great! Its very dynamic and customizable, definitely took a lot of time to make.

There's lots of illustration and they rigged the characters.... live2d? or after effect? which is new to me for a RPGM game and the fact that the clothes responds... that definitely took a lot of time and effort!

The story is good, you don't need to play the first game (I didn't)

Female lead with corruption mechanics and good artwork, exactly my type of game. The story has some branches and is pretty straightforward. I read that there is a prequel t this game, which I have not played. Overall a 5/5 for me.

Haven't played the original game, and can confirm you don't really need to know anything about it since this is fairly separate. Quite enjoyable honestly since it has a fair bit of gameplay (honestly, one part was too hard if anything). I quite like the little animations on the character in the standing position etc

Not sure how to really rate this since it's an extra continuation type of a game, so by those standards i'd probably say it's definitely worth it

4.2/5 but I'm placing a 5 since its better than good and no in-betweens.

The effort put into animating Rui bumps the game to Great already, the quality of the other aspects makes this almost a 5 star.

Gameplay 4,5/5 - The different doors leading to different games are a very nice touch. Lodge's door is only a tad too short compared to the others and Goblin-deez-nutz became annoying when my OCD kicked in trying to look for the other Goblin I missed. It feels like School Hypnosis and Bunny Lodge were where most resources were placed.

Story 4.5/5 - Much like Crimson and the original, the plot is succinct but refined. My only gripe would be Rui is still as hypocritical as ever when it comes to protecting her morality. She already offed a lot of creatures in Root, then surely had to off a lot of invaders for the Normal and True Ends - now she's offing the occasional evil-doer and was priming to kill Mini-Cthulu, then somehow she's got a moral conundrum about killing, again.

H-Stuff 4/5 - At first I found them to be lacking, but then I remembered I was playing as if my life depended on it and barely encountered any - so I visited the recollection room and interacted with everything over again. The amount is decent, the quality is excellent; however, I retain my opinion that it is lacking, since you only encounter them when you 'lose' and gets punished for having higher corruption. Unlike Corruption games which reward you with more scenes by having higher Corruption.

Audio 3.5/5 - Its decent, but compared to others who have voice lines or better SFX, its only above average due to the BGM feeling quite thematic.

Translation 4.5/5 - Excellent translation to English; although many small unimportant stuff are left untranslated - then again only people who love flavor texts or have OCD will be bothered by them, like me.

Overview (5/5): Actual peak hentai game can't believe I didn't see this earlier. Story is of a magical girl getting trapped in an ero-dungeon and needing to clear 4 "doors" to break out. Gameplay works for the runtime (3 hours) but god damn the budget for animating the MC was ridiculously high (and why most people rated this game highly). Basically everything you do in this game will be shown on the avatar. Her face is expressive and theres a bunch of different clothing/hair options. Only avoid if you really don't like rape/hypnosis/corruption since this is otherwise very high quality game, would 100% recommend.

Gameplay (4/5): The main game is clearing 4 mini-dungeons and then a final section. Gameplay consists of what is essentially the 4 only ways to make gameplay out of an RPGM. Turn-based combat, stealth gameplay, escape sequence and dialogue. Overall not boring since there isn't much repetition and QTE sequences are dispersed throughout but you aren't really gonna play this again for the gameplay. Quality of the MC animations honestly kept me engaged for the less interesting parts.
The story is a continuation of a prequel which is a much more standard hentai RPGM but I wouldn't recommend to play unless you like the dev or are really hungry for context. Story isn't too relevant and translation can be eh at times but you get the main idea. There is a good/true ending for a bit of extra content. Also if you are like me and like starting HGames with a virgin/no corruption run, don't bother. I spent like an hour grinding to bypass any corruption gain and there is no difference between 0% corruption and 10% for endings.
Also i'm not sure why its called "afterr mini" when it took me longer to beat this than the original.

Hentai (4.5/5): Some peak shit right here boys this is it. Animations/Scenes are based on alot of common japanese hentai tropes like goblins, monsters, bunny suit and school setting. MC gets corrupt over time if you let her and unlocks more for you to look at. While you have seen it before, you haven't seen it like this. There are a couple scenes but main thing you will be seeing are the super nice animations on the character model. You get a bunch of options for the MC, can dress her up in buncha different costumes, underwear, breast size and even hairstyle. Face is animated very well and changes in the eyes are done very well. Only thing weird thing is there is no blowjob/titjob, mostly just MC getting harrased and fucked. Besides that, I can say much more on how this game makes me hard but I will let you play it instead. (Also play crimson colloseum by same dev that is peak as well)

Person below me mentioned that there are death scenes. Those do exist, along with some ryona but it really isn't that bad. Maybe 5% of scenes have it but many scenes are bad end anyways. Also very avoidable I didn't even notice there was more than 1 until I went through gallery. Enokippu does do very low amount of death scene in other games though so if that is something you are averse to, then maybe skip, otherwise get this, very good.

there is a *LOT* of death in this game.. it completely killed the vibe. No pun intended. I didnt notice the necro tag which is on me but still, youd think itd be shown in the pics or something seeing as its apparently the main fucking kink. I hate it.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this game going into it, but I wanted to give it a chance, and it surprised me with quality and freedom of choice. I thought the game would railroad me down a mind-break and corruption route but I was actually able to play for the true good ending. Now I'll admit I played it on casual mode to get that ending but I'm glad the dev put it in there instead of having to save-scum my way through the regular ("unfair") mode.

There were four dungeons to play through, and in my opinion the best was the playboy bunny dungeon (if only for the costumes).
On the shorter side, but worth playing even if you don't like a ton of non-consensual stuff since you have tools to play around it.

This game is worth 5 stars along for the best animated CG live avatar implementation of all time, and it's not close for me. The immersion it offers is so good to the point that I don't even think this game needed CG scenes (but it has them and they're good). The animated CG portrait is responsive to live corruption events, includes some body modification, and clothes. Incredible.

On top of this we're treated to a classic hypnosis corruption tale, not much originality or artistry to the plot, but an excellent implementation of it with good game mechanics and progression. There's 4 mini games within the game to pass to either beat the corruption or fall prey to it and the 4 mini games have different themes and subgenres of RPG play. It's well done.

The subs are not perfect and I didn't understand everything, but the uncensor mod is good and the animated avatar is so responsive it uh, fills in the blanks

The game is not that long and you'll be in and out in no time, but definitely worth a play

What can I say? Enkoippu is the absolute goat of hentai game devs, and this is easily his best work yet. I'd like to see more of this girl but I'm gonna be fine with whatever he decides to work on next. Peak.

This is probably peak RPG M experience. Animated 2D CG are very nice, the worldbuilding is good and the gameplay is just perfect for an 18+ game. There's 4 different levels, some better than others but each have their own charm. Cannot rate this anything other than 5/5.

I loved the animations and I've grown rather fond of the main character and the 4 worlds that all give a unusual spin on the game, making it less repetitive. I didn't like the fact that if you had a higher corruption the good ending would've been more difficult to make, so I didn't enjoy enough the animations (even if I tried all of them before reverting a save), but this isn't enough to make it drop from 5 to 4 stars. What really annoyed me was the performance of this fucking game. I even updated nw.js but it was still a laggy piece of shit, and it's a real bummer since the game has so much effort behind it. I hope Enokippu doesn't screw up Kunoichi Botan 2 like this again.
Overall, try it. Maybe you'll be luckier than me with the lag.

This game was a blast from start to finish. I have a love/hate relationship with RPGM games as many are total grindfests with very few CG's but now and again a total gem of a game comes my way, and this is one of those gems.

Packed with content, not grindy at all, changes up the gameplay very often so feels fresh and fun all the way to the end and story is kind of fun too.

Great animation, the facial expression is really well done and the dialogue progression of different stage during the H-scene is also well made. The 2D art style works much better than many anime style 3D art.

sad that there is no voice, only effect sounds.
the 4 types of game modes are great but a longer game is always welcomed.

This game isnt kind of up my ally but, i give it a try anyway despite i will not enjoying much the sex scene and hoping it'll giving me a challenge to not corrupt the MC and I wasnt disappointed to play it.

The gameplay is astonishing, its like 4 in one different gameplay, first is escape horror, second is whoring, third is rpg fight style, last is slash rpgm style. all is challenging beside the whoring, it was like a puzzle, no grinding involved on everything, sadly its quite short, i was able to finish it in 4h.

The animation and sex scene is great, the main point of the game is to avoid to become fully corrupted, you know what that means, the more corrupted the MC, the more lewd things could happened, its all great, but again im not much into it, if youre into things like rape, prostitution, etc like in the tag, its your game.

Hypno, Hypno, Hypno.

My favorite tag and fetish personally. By far one of the best executions of the "hypno-ray" monster I've seen in awhile. I would literally boot up the game, go to the swimming area just to watch it. If mind control is your thing, that scene by far is the best. The other scenes have promise too, the MC is lovable and has good intent and seeing her act in these ways is a treat. Also a fan of the mushroom defeat scene on the combat level.

Getting a bit sidetracked with the mind control-- let's actually talk about the game. The experience is grindy, and feels like the developer is actively pushing the player into struggling, then the game punishes you for struggling. The corruption meter is a good touch and adds an erotic element to the game, but discourages the player from actually enjoying the game thoroughly. Our community is one of which we take a game very seriously, then we decide to want to see our character get railed and turned into a breeding bed, all in a few seconds. Sol Rui can provide that but with a lot of disadvantages that make it annoying for the player to enjoy themselves. I think a player shouldn't have to unlock gallery to fully enjoy the game. There could've been less going against the player for being horny in a eroge, something like interactable points in the world where the MC can meditate and try to get control of her body again, or consumables that cancel out the debuffs or damage from the next H-grab. Incorporating that would make Sol Rui a more casual game, allowing the player to look at the erotic art without consequence.

Speaking of which, CGs are good. I personally like the in-game cutout animations with her staggering and flinching, or her eyes going blank in obedience. Very well made, especially since you can customize it in the gallery. 4 stars.
