Okay this is getting ridiculous. They are just getting cocky and lazy. Would it kill them to just post an update progress so that we know WHEN THE NEXT UPDATE IS GOING TO COME OUT. I think they are doing this cause they know people are going to wise up and stop paying them.
People are still paying. They will continue their vague release schedule until subscribers start leaving.
But it seems I'm right. I checked their patreon site and they are down a few paid members. Look I'm not saying to hurry up but would it kill them to post some kind of post to tell us when are they going to release it.

Nah, that would add exponentially to the size; he's stated explicitly that it will never happen.
It would be neat, for sure. I've thought about maybe grabbing some JLU soundtrack music and playing that in the background
(And maybe someday there will be an AI voice model for Clancy Brown's Luthor & the other characters

IIRC their last update took them 3 months as well and it was trash. This one took more than 3 months already, so let's take a guess on what we can expect:
-it'll be delayed again
-it'll contain bugs and missing content
-the amount of content will be totally not worth 3 months of waiting
-the scenes will be another boring lazy reused crap
-the dev will add content for the characters no one cares about

At least Oni doesn't promise updates and then not deliver. SR is notorious for setting updates and then just not releasing them for a month, then putting out a spaghetti patch two weeks later that fix like two things and break 4
Sad thing is I can see all of the above happening and SR while lurking in the comments (much like an abused housewife coming back for more) will learn nothing from the plethora of valid criticism (regardless of how you feel about people accessing the game for free or paying) and will keep pulling in the shekles.IIRC their last update took them 3 months as well and it was trash. This is why we need modders, if I could mod I be fixing this game up cuz this game does have crazy potential but the problem is it can't truly grow in concept and It includes the characters I like Miss Martian's story in the game it so she is slowly being corrupted based on drugs which comes in the form of an Oreo, and as it continues she fully gives in and she helps luthor with Artemis, we need to see a natural progression of her in the story of her slowly being corrupted not being as defiant as she is shown in the Gotham event and that goes for other characters as well we've been breaking them down but we don't really see progression of them being corrupted

Maybe they can add Kitten from Teen Titans, and I hate to say it I hate the terra art I know it was from the Judas contract I never really liked it, but I prefer the teen Titans version and Young Justice version better
What you seem to not understand is that they have pushed this game to limits of their games engine. The game has been around for 10years and no one has created mods as they have found it easier to strip the images and implement new builds using renpy (dead project) or just create new images based on those stripped images (see Edit the Editor)
Personally, if what I've read on here about the subpar tools being used to make the game is true, my hope is some of that insane cash flow gets redirected to a developer who knows how to code instead of the duct tape and zip ties they're currently working with. I can appreciate the plucky upstart who has a good idea but doesn't have the head to code a game, and I've spoken out about the personal attacks masquerading as criticism we see so frequently on here before, but the game obviously has its flaws and there comes a point when the question needs to be asked if it makes more sense to spend an update cycle or two paying a developer (freelancer or otherwise) to port the content that exists into a more user-friendly engine.
If it really is so borked that content can't be edited after an update or certain things like basic sounds can't be added for risk of bringing the house of cards down, something really needs to be done for the sake of future development. Obviously, we're flying blind on info from GSG but if the delay that's currently on-going is due to trouble with the engine, it's a sound investment to get rid of the problem. If I knew how to code, I'd do it myself since I've at least got experience as an editor but porting the game is far beyond me, I'm afraid.
What, you're surprised? You've got the dev trolling here via emojis, years of copy pasted artwork, a litany of unfinished events, years of the schedule getting looser and looser, and to top it off an admission that they're not even going to hold to a schedule going forward. The next update will come out when SR7 gets off his lazy, corpulent ass and presses publish. He's been stretching two weeks of work across 2-4 months for years.

I sub to their patreon every 4/3 updates so I can play the game, but I really don't care when these come out. I pay for what I think it's worth the work and constance they put in it. That said tho, their patrons should really wake up now. I'm not saying to stop subscribing, but at very least do something similar to me, cos it's impossible to go 3 months with 1 post each (maybe) and that one barely being an update.

and I'm not hating on the team there. I applaud their energetic start this year and the willingness to take some help from the player base, and I'm actually hyping to myself this update because of that. But they very very much lack communication, even someone like Akabur is able to make weekly post and showing some drawing progression, and he's pretty much alone. That is what we here are actually asking them, a reason to stay subbed and support them every, single, month.
