if you are ok with the problem i described in my post where only the proper translated parts translate and everything else stays japanese, then you go to github and download from releases (there should be a link in the readMe on the main page), then you unzip that and overwrite the CSV folder next to the exe of the game with the downloaded one.
I dont think you are supposed to touch any other folder.
Moreso am confused as it's telling me I cannot swap the language to english there, also that area only showed after i downloaded vscode so confused. This is noting unsure if i got the OP patched version, and the fact that i merged the files instead of fully replacing it

So, you download the "patch" from the OP or from the gofile version, this is actually the full game. You extract in japanese locale (tell me if you dont know what this means). You start the game once. It should have 4 options in the main menu and the third should be "language". In the folder where the .exe is, there should now be a new folder called CSV. You go to the github and download the latest release which contains a CSV folder as well and copy that into the original CSV folder.

That is what i did and it works just fine on the latest version with animation viewer, only problem being no auto-translate for untranslated text.

Yeah Japanese locals I am not sure how to do that nor what it is, the language didn't pop up the first time i did the download unless the Japanese locals is required, to be sure the gofile download is the one from page 1 correct? To clarify the Language butto nas far as I recall only ppopped up after i added vscode file unless i downloaded and skipped to omany steps, this is noting I also tried to add the patch so if thats an issue ah there, on the sidenote this is me constnatly being confused but what does OP refer to? been doing gofile so yeah/gofile from page 1

Japanese locale refers to the ability of your computer to parse japanese characters correctly. The way it usually works without any installations of locale emulators is to use the extraction program Winrar. It allows you to extract a game in a specific locale, which allows most every game to run just fine.

So, download Winrar the extraction program. Open the game file you downloaded with it. Press CTRL + E to open a language locale menu and find and select "932 - Japanese". Then you click "extract to" and press Enter. This has now extracted the game using japanese locale.

OP usually means original post or original poster.
There are 2 different versions of the game that should work as i described in the previous post. One is the link named "Patch" in the original post. The other is the comment you replied to, the gofile one talking about the latest DLsite release.

I... dont know where you found the vscode thing. In the github of this game's translation i only see the CSV folder.

So to reiterate exactly what you should do (what i did and worked for me):
1. Download and Winrar the extraction program, just google it and it should show up instantly. The free trial version will warn you to buy it but you can just close the pop-up of the warning and use it normally.
2. Go to this post. Click on the gofile link. Download the file.
3. Open the downloaded file with winrar.
4. After opening it in winrar, wait a few seconds. The trial version warning will appear which you can close. Then press CTRL + E to open a language setting menu. In that menu find and press "932 - Japanese". Now press "Extract to" at the top of the Winrar program and then press Enter (this will extract to the same location the file you downloaded is).

5. Go to the of the translation and the .zip file shown there. Extract that zip with winrar like the game file. (Open with winrar, ctrl + e for japanese locale, 'extract to' for same location as where it you downloaded it)
6. Now, you should have 2 folders, one from the gofile link which is the full game and one from github which is the translation. Inside the gofile, there should be a few different folders in japanese. One those (i dont remember which one, i will edit this comment in a few hours with the exact name) has english files ("SuccubusDuel.exe", and it should be last modified on 01.05.2024).
Edit: File Name should be サキュバスデュエル.

7. Now exist 2 possibilities (will edit with precise info in a few hours), either you can see a CSV folder or there isnt one.
If there is no CSV folder, then start the game once.
Now there should be a CSV folder. The menu should also already have the 3rd "language" option without you doing anything else. If it doesnt, you probably found the raw (original) game files before they were patched. Try to find the patched ones. I will update with info on this in a few hours.
8. Copy the translation's CSV folder you had extracted previously onto this CSV folder, and overwrite (say yes to replacing).
9. Now, when you open the game, you can go to the 3rd option "language", and select english. Now a lot of things should be in english. The translation is not complete and as far as i am aware, these patched files lost the ability to auto-translate the non-translated text. Nobody answered me when i asked about it.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to respond to your question. The "Win" gofile in the original post is unpatched but should use an autotranslator to translate everything after a bit of time. Its just a bit bad at doing it.
The other one "Patch" gofile is the entire game and patched, but an outdated version.
The comment gofile is the latest version with the translation patch.
The translation patch is the thing giving you the 3rd menu "language" option.

It's probably because they don't use something similar to the "XUnity.AutoTranslator-ReiPatcher" for Unity... still.
Btw you can use it, but is not as good like the old auto-translate

Ack, maybe I did something wrong but when I tried to apply the patch from github the game softlocked right after the tutorial. The menu simply didn't offer any options.

When I instead tried using the translation in this thread the game instead softlocked on the main menu (again, no buttons show up)

Is anybody else having this issue? Is there an easy fix?

For anybody having similar issues after applying Translation, quick fix:
Pull Saves out of the saves folder -> Open the game again, should work now -> Drag the Saves back into the Saves folder -> Re-open the game, should keep working

Don't ask me how this works or how I stumbled upon this fix (basically I was transferring saves between builds while diagnosing another issue that was ultimately self-inflicted).

Let me know if this fixes it (this is how I remember to have fixed it).

No luck, but building off your idea I simply set the language back to Japanese and got through that part. It seems to just be an issue with the current version of Giratina's translation

After getting through the menu once, were you able to switch it back to English?

I know I've had the issue and I've fixed it after a game restart using the previous method (so now I'm using the English translation).

who know when their going to release new update for the bar
I don't think we know, dev recently got married and seems to be worried about her finding out about his development of this game sadly. So we'll see what we get over time and if it's anything it'll be appreciated I'm sure :D

If the dev can't continue the game then they should make it copyright-free so anyone else can sell mods, make updates, and use the IP.

Wayyyyy too early for that, they might still want to receive the well-earned profits from the selling of the game.

That might come into the future if they feel like it, but not anytime soon.

From a player PoV the game definitely seemed to be close to done? But I guess it depends how much content was gonna be in part 2 or whatever the invasion was/would be. I mean there were like 4 girls at the end-game that were being set up as crystal guardians I think? And then probably some battles with old girls throughout the first part/masters from the first part. But I guess the tournament could just continue anyways after invasion? It's possible part 2 would be as long as the first part but I guess the first part is mostly done tho

You could get in touch, if you wish, with Giratena (either here, on Github or Discord) to offer your contribution to the Translation of the game (to contribute to the Github repo for this translation).
