There a guide or something? Didn't see preview images 2, 3, 4, or 6, didn't see valentina at all, and there was zero content for viktoria.

I'm not aware of a guide. I don't know about those images (I didn't look in the game files for them) but there are two paths for viktoria, I think one is called servant and the other subordinate. The servant path, where you build loyalty for viktoria has valentina on it.

To get to either path, you have to turn in a false report, there are several ways to do that. I'd recommend going to Alice in the town bar and either becoming her slave or devoted to her, both methods make her leave, then you tell the barkeep she's gone, that gives you a false report. If you go to the pc in school and turn it in, viktoria wins and opens up both those paths. Obeying her builds loyalty and does servant path, if you disobey, you keep getting demoted, and that's the subordinate path.

I'm going off memory. So hopefully that helps you and others.

Some paths seem to depend on your progress in other paths.

Hold it down instead of pressing

I've done both. I've held it down for around 5 minutes. Still no dice.

Does holding it down work for you?

Yeah but sometimes that doesn't register either, what I do is just hold it down for 5 seconds or so and let go, and repeat that until it works, usually does after a few attempts.

Thanks for that, I'll try that. I feel like I have, but maybe went nutso trying things like crtl, left and right shift etc. But long holds, repeated if not working after 5ish seconds. I guess we'll see!

For anyone else having this problem, where shift doesn't seem to work, it's possible you were using a cheat engine (I was) and in this rare instance it made shift not work for that one thing. I sometimes use cheat engines and just install with the game normally to avoid grinding in games and to sometimes bypass bugs. This time it caused a bug though. and this game really doesn't need a cheat engine (there is a free level up area in the library. so grinding isn't there) You can just edit a save and give yourself enough money to buy the spells at the shop but they aren't really needed. Minimization spell is the cheapest and is fun and adds a lot of fun scenes though. I'd advise buying at least that.

What's the difference between 4.20 and the final version in terms of content?

I'd like to know as well.
Someone have any info here?
EDIT: So, 4.20 is 1.6 GB while FINAL is 4GB.
That and the fact that the last change we know of added voices, I assume that most of the additional data is VA.
