The next SG update is tomorrow, given that Ocean is back on track with alternating updates, with a WIAB focus one week (last was Feb 17th) and an SG focus the next week.
So - this is me hoping versus anything expressly stated by Ocean - we will get a SG 4.5 full release as well as a brief SG CH 5 update (number of renders completed and perhaps another 2-3 preview shots the way we did with Mila during the update on Feb 10th).
I'm also 'hoping' that beta testing of CH 4.5 full has already resolved any unexpected logic/pathing problems since Ocean is adding in a second route (the beginning of the Sasha route is getting added into CH 2), and there are other Sasha scenes that may need to be added/modified to create path continuity into CH 5 and then Season 2. I can't see Ocean releasing this next update until he is satisfied that the changes fit smoothly into the existing SG story and good Beta testing is always a part of ensuring a quality update - something I think Ocean has been consistently good at.
We know Sasha's friend has taken on a bigger role and is part of the very early Sasha path.
We just don't know what that role is yet (is she a Shasha BFF and wingwoman or something else/something more - all good mysteries to solve as we learn more about Sasha).
Regardless of whether I am right or wrong on the timing of the release of CH 4.5 full, Ocean had created an absolute gem of a story and I'm looking forward to CH 4.5 full and a chance to see how everything fits together with the new CH 2 content and the revisions to CH 3 and CH 3.5.

This is not really a beta, the full version is the remake of the first half of chapter 2 and parts of chapter 3 and 3.5.
As soon as the rework is done it'll be released as Ch4.5 Full.

doesnt feature sex any scenes? what?)))))) this game is about 3 years old, and before it was abondoned there wasnt any and when dev resumed game, there still nothing? ............. its not because its not a porn game, an erotic. its because he is like Gumdrop, i think they are buddies. and with other dev i forgot, who post wallpapers all the time

Knowing that Oceans is working I really don't care waiting more or less. The problem is when they stop working, but if his work is constant more time implies more content or quality. A win-win in my opinion.

While the rework has taken a lot longer than any of us would have hoped, I don't understand how you thought 5 would be near release towards the end of Feb? Sounds like a self bait as I haven't seen anyone else suggest that.
Tomorrow will be telling of how close we are to the release of 4.5 full, but I believe we won't be seeing it quite yet.
With the rate things are progressing, I wouldn't expect 5 beta until late June at the earliest, with 5 full and the steam release coming even later.

He clearly says this in the disclaimer at the very beginning of the VN, which you would know if you actually played it.
He does do a great job with world building, so that when hot times, like the MC/Vic/Nami/Mila makeout scene on the couch happens, it has meaning, which makes it Much better.
I'm happy to enjoy, and support, a great story with: characters who are well-developed, high-quality renders, animations and music, and all supported by someone as creative as Ocean who has never had a problem with team building or seeking free-lancers to build something he wants, all with the goal of telling the Summers Gone story better/faster.
I can't think of a creator who is more of an 'anti-Gumdrop' than Ocean.
Anyone who has actually played Summers Gone would know this.
There are literally hundreds (thousands perhaps?) of VNs here that can give you sex with no meaning or the barest wrapper of a story, and I'm sure that the worst of them produce so little content that they are almost always on the verge of an abandoned tag.
If you want more Gumdrop fun, try them out.

Which is nothing if you think about the circumstances and work that went into the first part.
1. I moved across the country and had all troubles and annoyances a person has when they move. (From acquiring a new tax office, waiting for a desk to arrive meeting up with lawyers to make future music deals waterproof, and just getting my life in order again... Cuz a move fucks up everything.)
2. Got pretty sick from visiting my family over Christmas.
3. Created 900+ renders and new environments for the Rework in the meanwhile. (While also working on Chapter 5 (almost 100 renders in and creating another few hundred images for WiAB.))
I know that a BETA to Full shouldn't take this long and trust me that it burdens me too, but this is a special case. These damn reworks take up a lot of resources and take as much work as a new update.
