BobTheDuck, I think you're reading too much into things with Vanessa sometimes.

It's clear that she's a manipulative asshole that likes to play with people. This is precisely her connection with Nika, they're both quite similar in that aspect, though one can argue that Vanessa is meaner.

But regarding the scenes you've been commenting... you're wrong with the jacuzzi scene. It's not Vanessa the one that brings up Mario into the conversation, it's Zara. And she does it twice; first saying that she doesn't have sex with him and then mentioning the plug thing. And Vanessa doesn't appreciate the latter at all.

What she does with Nami in that scene though it's a clear example of Vanessa's attitude, but more that digging for info with an ulterior motive, I think it's just she amusing herself playing with marionettes.

Her bedroom scene with Nika, there's no way that she would've have cheated on Mario if Zara wouldn't have appeared. At that point of the story she still doesn't respect Nika, and doing that she would be lowering herself according to her mentality. She's just playing the serpent and trying to make a fool of Nika to check how far he's willing to go and how much control she has on him.

And finally her meeting with Bella. This a different scenario. Contrary to the two previous examples I've commented, I don't think we should judge Vanessa's behaviour as deceptive here. It's the opposite, because she's the victim of a deception. Her answer to that it's playing along after figuring Bella out and thinking "OK, WTF is going on here and what are this idiot's intentions?". I see this one more like survival instinct than Vanessa being deceptive/mean/evil.

I think this is another test of the social chameleon skills of the MC. But if the answer to the previous similar test was due to the plot, I mean when MC allowed Nadia and Zara to take revenge for the sake of improving relations with them.
But in the case of Beanpole, the decision is up to the player. Be the usual asshole Nika to her and get ready that in your relationship with Bella not only the limpy wormy will be a cockblock.

Please don't shut up. I like to read the theories of all of you, and you bring a lot of interesting discussions to the table. With my previous post I just wanted to point out some specific things about those 3 scenes, nothing more.

Of course she's provoking Nika in her bedroom, that's what playing the serpent is, she's trying to put a spell on him by seduction. But what I say is that she wouldn't actually cheat. In the case that Nika took the bait and tried to flirt with her or kiss her or do something (zero chance of that happening unless he's trying to play her too, but she doesn't know that), she would probably laugh at him considering herself victorious.

Again my intention commenting this particular scene is not defending her or saying that she's acting normal, but to point out that she wouldn't commit an act of what is considered actual cheating, because doing that, specially with someone with Nika's social status, would be out of character for her.

Her reaction to Zara's interruption is not surprising at all, she just ruined her plan and her fun, and entitled spoiled people don't like things going wrong. Besides, Zara's remark previous to her sister's reaction (Did I interrupt anything?), is 100% considered impertinent by Vanessa and adds fuel to the fire.

They can ban people if their morning coffee was without sugar. They really dont need any reason to ban anyone. And many times already they didnt gave a reason for banning a DEV. Its like a customer in a coffeeshop, the coffeeshop owner can decide to not serve him coffee and he doesnt need to give a reason for that. The same goes for patreon. Its more or less a onesided contract, they give you a platform for a percentage of your income and thats it. If they dont want you there anymore, you are a goner. At least they give notice before that.

As a publisher on patreon you dont have much rights, only copyrights in that matter. The money patrons have payed already beforehand will just be refunded and thats it.

They dont follow rules about "incest" or so here... just for example, if incest would be a real problem, why is summertime saga still on? Its not even hiding the incest... well, there is of course a good reason, it makes tons of money and patreon gets his peace of the cake too.

WiaB wasnt really making much money. So... some ass reported the game to them i guess, and they got rid of it. Patreon doesnt really investigate themselfs. If no one reports a game nothing will happen there.

I really dont know why so many DEVs decided to go via patreon in the first place, it was never a good way to get things out there, there are so many other platforms that take less money from you and dont have "rules" they change every week and dont even follow them.

It doesn't show anything. There is nothing wrong with the way she talked to Nika because that's how she talks all the time. And Zara simply asks her sister to behave herself in front of the guests who don't know her. The problem with your conclusion is that you referred Vanessa to ordinary people who have norms of decency when it comes to how to speak with people.

You can argue that we've only seen her interactions with Nika and his family, but I highly doubt that her behavior will change even slightly when it comes to someone else.
