Saying this update had no new content is just a completely false statement. Playing the reworked chapter 1 after already being incredibly familiar with the old chapter 1, gives me tons of appreciation to finally have chapter 1 align closer to the quality in the newer chapters while also greatly expanding upon the story and characters in ways that weren't present in the old chapter 1.

I believe MC is going to be the cause or perhaps the catalyst for Victoria getting out of that wheelchair. At least that's what I am seeing in their interplay and how she reacts to be around him.

If that's the case, the car crash actually plays a significant role in that storyline.

God, I love the chapter 1 rework, it looks so much more alive and with the added dialogue, I feel like I'm playing a completely different chapter.

Ok i'll try this "Update" with a second rework of chapter one, since it seem so good, but i ain't getting cought for a third rework, if the next "Update" is a rework of any chapter, i'm trashing this game.
I don't want to get caught in an other Dual Family like game, where we have a lot of update, but the story does not advance.

No doubt. The car crash itself isn't really the issue; Victoria would likely still need to get injured and if conflict with Marla is required, something has to happen there as well, it's just the whole exchange is just...off. It's hard to imagine someone would pull a gun on MC in that situation. It's just really really dark and gives the game kind of a bad feel because of how not only irrational it is but because it happens so early, a new player really doesn't have much context to draw from in terms of the MC yet and can make them want to stop playing. I know Ocean wants to convey the depression-state the MC is in, but this particular scene just doesn't fit well IMO.

Thankfully this level of darkness goes away quickly in the story, but ya it's just not something I'm a fan of and I've seen a number of comments about it in this thread and in the reviews. I just think a better "scenario" could be constructed to obtain the desired situation (Victoria injured and wheelchair-bound and Marla and the MC having had something happen between them that created some issues) while being a bit more believable and not creating too dark of a tone.

You do you, but if the rework of chapter one doesn't convince you that the rework of chapter 2 (that WILL be coming) isn't worth the extra time, well there are other works on this site.

Sometimes you just need to play the 5 knuckle suffle or two tone bean flicker.

A good story is essential for making a simple Porno into a GOOD ADULT VN. But you gonst to have some action in there.

The Awakening has some of THE MOST Realistic animation for fingering i have ever seen. But without any real action, it is only going to take you so far (played that a few updates ago so haven't caught up with it yet).

Chapter 1 rework was really well done. Nice work on that. It definitely felt more in line with the newer chapters now, and can't wait for the chapter 2 rework.

Speaking on that, going to assume the next update for this will have the Chapter 2 rework and then on to the others? Already played through all the current content (Chapter 4), so assuming that next update is the Chapter 2 rework, I think I'll keep my save at the end of Chapter 1 so I can just hop back into it from there, instead of having to start over again lol.

But thanks for your work Ocean. A truly beautiful game you got here (along with WIAB). ;)

It's a visual novel with adult elements. Always been advertised that way. Story first.

This isn't like other games that focus all on the sex and barely the story. This is the opposite. It's right there in the developer notes on the front page.

This isn't a porn game! This is a story-focused game with adult elements.
If you just want to fap, this is certainly the wrong game for you.

Story build-up does need some time.

Im pessimistic about the future of this VN but chapter 1 & 2 definitely needed a rework.

Chapter 1 was terrible and that "basketball" game in chapter 2 is an abomination

I believe I once financially supported this game. It seems to me that I stopped because of the dark tone the game was beginning to take. It's been a long time since I played the game; but as I recall, the blonde woman (sorry I'm terrible with names) wanted revenge on her neighbors because of something that they had done to someone that was important to the blonde woman. It looked to me that it was going to turn out that they had raped or physically assaulted the woman in question. On the Patreon page for this game, there is a picture of a woman with a scar on her face. I believe that she is probably the woman in question. Can you tell me if I am right? I liked the game at one time, but I do not like stories that include the physical or sexual abuse of women in the story or backstories.
