SS is a promising game that has lost its way in the past two updates. The fundamental elements of this game are strong: wonderful graphics; a lush world of storylines; easy gameplay/navigation. It's easy to get sucked in and be invested in the MC and female NPCs.

But the past few updates (Roxy, Diane, and Jenny) show how the game lost its way and balance. The Roxy update is praised not just because of its many new scenes, but because it added depth to 3 characters whose relationship and tone with the MC changed over time. It really showed the game moving forward.

In contrast, part of the criticism with the Diane and Jenny updates is this lack of change in relationship and character development. Other than a one-off tender scene, Jenny remains an selfish, money-grubbing bitch who has it out for the MC for some reason despite many interactions between the two. This makes no sense.

Relatedly, the pregnancy sequence makes no sense. I'm a big impregnation guy, and the kink appeals to me not just in knocking a woman up, but seeing how others react to the (forbidden) pregnancy and how pregnancy/kids change the MC-female NPC's relationship over time. There's some promise of this when the mother and aunt catches the MC and Jenny fucking...but this is never mentioned again by any of the three. It'd be a lot hotter if it forces the mother to have "a talk" with the siblings to figure out what it's going on and how it affects them as a: 1) family; 2) her own MC relationship; 3) as a harem. SS is heading for a harem ending, but a harem is only truly a harem if all the women know and acknowledge each other's roles.

Instead of storylines dealing with forbidden relationships and the complications of having kids, we get an overengineered impregnation chance wheel, retouched graphics that don't add much, and unavoidable cow cosplay. These are distractions from the true appeal of SS: the story. I'm fine with putting in new things/cutting stuff out (the barn, the loss of the nightcrawler scenes) if they clean up an outdated storyline or introduce new characters like Lucy, Vee, and Grace. But spending so much time on things that don't change the story is a poor choice of money/time resources, especially given that the game has inherent structural problems like re-usable saves that need to be addressed, or patrons who wonder why the heck updates are taking so long.

4-stars for now. But if the story progression and character development continue to be under-served, it's going down.

Good graphics, funny and interesting story lines, easy to understand and master game play and adult themes. Has a lot of the things that I look for in the games I play. Plus there is that nudity thing, eh?

I started playing this game in december 18'. What a great game. i got as far as i could in about a week (about 7 hours). Great animations fun story. i really hope they expand on some of the more minor characters stories. i really hope they have a new update soon. been really hoping see more. its almost 5 months now. i guess you can not rush greatness.

Much higher quality than most 'visual novels' like this. Writing, exploration, modern setting, consistent art-style, etc. After the beginning you can usually pursue the characters you like and ignore the ones you don't.

What's holding this back from five stars is that it still does not have save-compatibility (coming soon), and according to the developers themselves this will take several more years to complete. Right now I'm giving it four stars.

If you have not played it, I would possibly recommend to forget about it for a few years until you hear it's complete.

Summertime Saga is my favorit game, i love the story, the design is amazing and the character are unique. the team that created this game is very talented. I'm waiting for the new update, eagerly await!

Hand drawn artwork is alright(not my personal favorite looking art style but still well done for what it is) The story is interesting enough to keep you playing and there is a ton of things to do in the game with quite a lot of characters too.
Shame you have to wait for your personal favorite characters story to be done in an order that they were voted and updates are slow but not much can be done about that with the amount of people they have working on the game. No save compatibly or a way to skip to the newest content is just silly.

Been watching this game since it's earlier days and it's really come far with plenty more to go according to it's creator DC. While the story isn't some great written tale, it is simple, fun, funny and hot and that's exactly what you should be looking for in the story for these types of games. The art is amazing and has improved recently in the past few updates to even greater detail. Plenty of content and characters. The only cons would be the bugs every new update now and then that may halt your progression, the long development cycle between updates, and the main complaint, the issue of not being able to use your saves from prior versions. Despite these cons the game still gets 5 stars particularly for it's art, characters and content, which out weights the downsides.

Propably one of the best game I ever play in that kind og games. Even the cartoon graphics gave a funny look so it's a very pleasant environnement. The main character is not really a big pervert and all the situations seems to happens by luck, fate or accident. Yes it's a porn game, but a lot of situations are very erotic. The favorite game of all.

Probably one of the best of the best, with great story, amazing art and good animation. I especially enjoyed the Roxxy story, and i'm excited to see what the main story is gonna become!

The UI is good, and doesn't waste your time.

One of the most advanced and popular porn game. I find the art quite good but maybe it won't appeal to everyone. They're is some basic animation that are ok.
The plot is ok, the main plot is not really explored for now. The developer prefer to do side story and expand his universe/background. You are, with some limitation ofc, free to do what you want. Seduce your family by becoming the man of the house, resolve the problem of your neightbor or friends, etc...
They're is mini-game and enigma to resolve but most of the mini-game are boring or just unplayable. Some choice have their impact on your quest/story.
They're is plenty of content to enjoy, and more to come.

I played for the plot.

I don't have much experience with 'lewd' games. This one was recommended to me by a good friend, who promised me boobs as far as eye can see. He didn't disappoint me, and neither did Summertime Saga.

I played for about 144 days of ingame time, which seems to have covered all of the content currently in the game. That's many, many hours of interesting and fun gameplay. The first time I started the game, I couldn't help but keep playing. I actually lost any sense of time and before I noticed, it was already night time. The author of this game seems to know a lot about various kinks people have. He implemented them so well, that I felt compelled to keep playing and discovering new degenerate fetishes I never even knew existed. Some of the characters straight up dare you into finishing their quests, they bully you - they call you names, treat you badly and laugh at you. Yet you keep playing, because deep down you know you get to fuck them later, almost as a payback. Don't be fooled by boobs, this game is about conquest. You conquer one 2d woman after another - you destroy their relationships, sabotage them and take advantage of them - all while they praise you for being a good guy. If you asked me what I love the most about the game, I would say it's that most of the time it gives you an option not to pull out. So I never did. There were no survivors. As far as I know, half the town could be pregnant right now.

Having said all of that, there are ways Summertime Saga could be improved. Some of the minigames could be better, and some quests are as simple as going to a place, clicking a thing and then going back. I'm sure there's a way to make these more engaging for the player. I really enjoyed the rap battles, but basketball was just awful. I think minigames and quests need some more work.
Also, there doesn't seem to be any anal in the game. The only instance I can remember (which also barely qualifies) would be the double sybian scene. I named Jenny in the game "Buttslut". Imagine my disappointment when she couldn't live up to her name. Among all of the weird content I found in the game, I was really surprised that there wasn't any good old butt stuff. And even though I love boobs, I feel like the game is way too focused on them. Please show some more love and appreciation to butts, feet, hair, lips, or even armpits(?). If I can get my aunt pregnant just so she can produce more breastmilk for half of the town to consume, I feel like I should also be able to pee down my sister's throat.
Go all the way and don't focus so much on boobs. That would be my advice.

Overall I would recommend this game to anyone who likes a good mix of porn and comedy.

This is the game that every other game wants to be. It sets the bar, and so far, no other game has lived up to it. The game is HUGE, with hours of gameplay being added every 3 months or so. Every content update adds 2-3 H scenes. There are plenty of bangable girls, and the art is fantastic.

There are bugs or glitch in few section especially minigames but not really game breaking. I like the scenes and the musics, reminds me of good ol' times of playing Broken Sword series a bit. The art was nice but a bit made some of the charas looks older than they be.

The minigame section is pertty interesting with few games included inside this game, some are hard and some are easy.

The story will keep you busy for a while looking for clue, gotta read them dialogues from each npc carefully or else you might missed you way.

This Game blew my mind when I first played it, I didnt expect so many good scenes from a game that was less than 1gb but this game delivers and delivers so well. With or without the incest patch the characters will grow on you. And there's enough content to keep you hooked for hours. So many characters and so many fetishes and the best part, you can chose what to play. Most mini games are decent but I would recommend using the cheat mode to skip it, it will make your life a lot easier.

I really like this one, great looking art ,tons of scenes and decisions. I also like the animations. But sometimes you have to grind and it's good that there is a cheat option before you start the game. It's a little bit sad that this game takes sometimes eternity to get a new update. I have hope that 2019 will change that a bit, because it looks like that.

The fact that the game in of itself is actually pretty fun to play is awesome. And then you have the straight up massive amount of content that you can go through, with many more to come. Plus, most of the characters are developed pretty well where you can really enjoy their story line. There's also a whole lot of variety in the different female characters which is a plus.

The mini games are a bit annoying after once or twice, but do you have the option of skipping those if you chose that option in the beginning. I would say the real down sides keeping it from higher stars would be that the main story with the mobsters haven't really developed much after the first few bits (even though game has been released for years now!!) and that your old safes doesn't really translate over... every update... that's annoying...

The good...
Everything. This is the gold standard for modern adult games. Unique, quality art. Good story telling. Variety of characters and fetishes. Solid development team. The effort is virtually never a grind and there is a built in 'easy' mode that doesn't limit any of the end results. The game itself is fun to play, if the characters and art was changed to not be an adult game it would still be fun to play (so it's just even better you can watch Jennifer's tits sway in the shower ).
