Nice in theory, but in reality, most of the girls aren't fully developed even after a decade. So those are just false choices.

How many times must it said? It's impossible. The old Coder fucked this Game so much that it can't be completed with the old version. That's why the Tech Update is made in the first place. With the old version, they can't finish the game nor make lot of spicy scenes anymore.
The Tech Update with new Code was indeed needed to continue.
Dark Cookie should buy help from more Coders but he doesn't do it yet. That's the Problem.

Dark Cookie is the problem here, he bloated the entire game beyond the capacity of what the engine could handle and he never bothered optimizing the code.
Purposefully keeping storylines half done, while expanding new threads for years so he could milk his foolish patrons for all they were worth.

This can be easily solved if incentives aligned, but what Dark Cookie wants, isn't what his idiot pay piggies want. So he has to hookwink them, you have to be regarded to believe his bs.

Summertime Saga will always have a special place for me; it was the first adult game I played, past the flash games like MNF stuff, one that actually had continuity and a storyline. But it's been in 'development hell' for so long, I basically pulled my financial support from it, and moved on to playing other, more frequently updated, games.

I do hope this gets finished sometime. I still miss the Roxxy and Jenny storylines. But I've given up on seeing Cassie or the librarian get a storyline anytime in the foreseeable future.

If we calculate that 30 000+ supporters average 5-10$ per month... Well, I think that with that kind of money, it could be possible to continue development while another team is working on the upgrade. The game is very good and perfect even without the upgrade. I don't know why people are so stupid that they can't see what it's all about.

Feeding someone false hope until they actually believe in said hope is how betrayals and deceptions continue to strive ever since the dawn of human civilization. The dev didn't do any work since he started the remake except on Debbie. By the time he covers the rest of the characters that will be another decade. If there should be any progress after that, it will be one of his offspring's responsibility I think. lol
