So I've been thinking. Here's what I think the endgame for the current arc is.

We see Michael get saved from the sky monster, we see Alice go Level 3 in order to successfully open the portal, bringing everyone to the human dimension. Everything is in chaos due to the ritual; Doll Ella scampers off at the first opportunity to awaken Big Ella and complete everything. We see Malik fighting (and likely loosing) against Algaecswif, likely with some hints and teases as our/Deryl's spawn. Bernhardt is probably on the front lines, keeping him away from the action. MC probably gets his first sighting of Indri, causing him to attack. Indri effortlessly deals with MC, likely regaining his memories. In an attempt to dominate him, Indri strikes him with electricity, which has the effect of triggering the Level 4 evolution. Indri is caught off-guard, but still outclasses MC, and eventually kills him, before moving on to other targets. MC gets revived by Nyx just as Ella finishes the ritual, thus segueing to the next arc, which depends on what happens next.

I like this plot, except that Alice evolving to lvl 3 could have something to do with Aos, also I expect a short fight with the Daoine Danu, where either Aos or Michael and Alice blitz her.

Love everything about this but just one thing if I may add here :
The Mc, as was in his second and third evolution get's the chance to let the Eye be reborn, resulting in a Dead End but not before wiping the floor with Indra as if he let's the Eye posses him at level 4 he'd be the strongest ressurection yet. We get an epic showdown with Indra.

Also I personaly think Malik wil face off against Indra as Zack did try to orchestrate an encounter beetwen the two previously.

Forgot to mention it, but I guess after Ella awakens, she also releases Eiseth and Valravn from H.E.R.O. containment.

I like to always wait a year before playing a game in progress. The last time I played this game was in 11/2023, on version 0.971.

I'm still waiting only because I read that version 1.0 will come with improvements at the beginning of the game and that it would be the next update. Am I wrong?

Genuinely no clue. That's what we all thought, but from the recent dev log it seems like we might not be getting it in the very next update, and instead will be moving forward into the next arc. At this point, the only thing I trust is that an update is coming, not whether or not it's v1.0 or whatever.

I think character sprites will be somewhat trivial to improve, but that means that there would be a weird quality shift when going from the standing sprites to the dynamic images. Would basically need to redo all of the images up to... our Level 2 evolution, I think? That's a lot of art to remaster, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure Deus doesn't have time powers, all his talk about "your memories have mistaken me for someone else" and telling us that Zack or Claudia are better suited instead of just connecting us to Time, makes me believe that he doesn't have the time trait.

If that was the case Syla would've connected the MC with Claudia or Zack right away, Deus is the one who manipulated the dream connection to Claudia cuz he doesn't want the MC to pry into his dreams. Through that part alone we can assume Deus is the spawn with the highest connection to the 5th in the entire game.

Earlier than that, when Clark and Lexi confront Ella during the frat party they mention it was through Deus power they knew she was going to be there (He predicted the encounter), later during the twins arc the dude works with Halona to predict when Eishet would attack and such.

I think it's more than clear the dude manipulates time and has his own agenda within the story and the MC. He even admitted as much to the MC when he joined HERO.

Syla doesn't make the connection, it's the MC that does, she only tells the MC on how to do it. Deus seems more like a time traveller or someone aware of the multiple timelines, he's way more accurate than Zack a, at that time, level 4 captain who's no slouch and drops dialogue like "I'm going to need her (Ella) work completed if this whole mess is going to be sorted". We have seen that the Eye is aware of his multiple failures in different timelines and if the most common theory of it being Evolution is true, then you don't even need the Time trait to achieve that. And lastly, we can only speculate, but I don't think Deus is working alone, that other plane and the nightmares can hide a lot of things.

WW has been non-stop dropping hints about this guy using time based abilities, like HERO using him to predict shit given Zack's state, remember this guy is recovering from the ass kicking Indra gave him and his team, so that role has been falling onto Deus' lap. If that isn't a big enough hint for you about this guy being a spawn of the 5th then idk what to tell you.

Hell even that dream sequence scene was another bit of confirmation from WW that the guy is a spawn of the 5th. That being said, him being a time traveler? Wouldn't be suprised, he gives DBZ Trunks vibes and what's more fitting than a spawn of the 5th being able to travel through the timelines.

As to the Origin MC being aware of timelines is a mystery that only WW knows about but meh, I hope we don't enter a rabbit hole of timelines cuz that tends to get messy as fuck.

It's a bit of a weird conundrum. If I recall correctly, we have Word of God from WW that Deus has no connection to the Fifth Apostle at all. But from what we see in game, almost everything points to him having time powers. Unless WW is lying to us (definite possibility), I'm not sure what alternative explanation there is.
