Part of me still believes that 'Big Ella' is around, either waiting to be awoken or already alive and hiding.
I have a theory that she will either absorb the doll Ella when they meet to regain her power (a la Deryl) OR by the time they meet, doll Ella will have become independent enough that she may want to remain separate. They might even fight if doll Ella reaches some different conclusions to Big Ella especially re:MC and his purpose. Either way, to maximise my chances I've been buttering up doll Ella in my playthrough (nothing to do with the sex scenes, I promise )

Yeah, there's so many ways it could go... the interesting thing about Doll Ella is that she's a version of Ella that never did anything bad to the MC, so he and his gang get to see what its like to just be friends with her without all of that baggage, and vice versa, the doll gets to be with MC without the stress of having to ruin his life (so far).

I'm so so so glad the game is independently tracking whether MC likes/hates Big Ella, whether he has feelings for her or not, and if he trusts Doll Ella or not, that shit is gonna be so messy

The problem is we don't always know, from what I've heard anything that the Dev say's on stream that's not already in game could be lies. So it's really not as simple as "this is truth this is not".

There is nothing on the wiki that isnt taking directly from the game, patreon rewards, or stream info. If there is let us know and it can be corrected. If anything weird says is disproved or retconned in the game the wiki is usually updated to reflect that.

yeah agree with this theory, just got to the part again where she is on the slab post nyx and honestly she looks just like her she does when she shrugs off malik e.g. unmoving statue which makes me think she is just waiting for the death energy from nyx to die down then she will wake up on a slab somewhere in hero hq

I have a similar theory: I think that Ella genuinely is dead, but she plans on using the MC's powers to revive her. What we've seen of Ella's inner monologue is that "the one" was being evaluated as a potential host for...something, we don't know. For a while I thought that was the Eye, but we know now the Eye was already with the MC and not something Ella could influence. But Ella did tell Cole that she would give literally everything of herself to her chosen one, in a way that he interpreted as romantic but to me sounded sacrificial.

I think Ella wants the MC to eat her brains. Like he can do with Bailey, and how Bailey now lives on inside his mind if he does. Making him a host for Ella, and giving everything of Ella to the MC. I think that's why Ella baited out an attack from Nyx, not because she could survive it but because it would guarantee an intact corpse for the MC to eat. Ella wouldn't get that with Malik or Nico. She's not waiting for the negative energy to fade so she can stand up, she's waiting for it to fade so the MC can finally indulge his curiosity and eat Ella's brains to learn all her secrets, letting her in in the process.

From there, I'm not sure what will happen. Either Ella is going to just be a presence in the MC's head, guiding him and meaning that combined with Doll Ella on his shoulder he has her in stereo. She did say that she thought the MC would be on her side eventually, maybe she's planning that access to her memories will sway him. Or maybe she'll try to hijack his powers to build a new body for herself, like Bailey said she thinks the MC can do for her. Heck, maybe both, trying the first and then going to the second if she can't convince him.

It's not an ironclad theory, I don't have a ton of evidence for it, but it makes sense to me. Also, it has the fun implication that Cole could never have been "the one", no matter how strong he got, because he just doesn't have the right powers. And things that make Cole's obsession more pathetic are always good in my book.

I like it. She obviously had contingencies in place, and it would be foolish to think the doll was the only one. So wouldn't surprise me if she would pull something like that.

Probably worth noting for this theory that Doll Ella promised to teach MC how to separate parts of his body and have them still maintain their shape, so yeah, she might be using MC to shapeshift a body for her, put her mind in it, and cut it off.

Hey i was just thinking about S.C.P's and the anomalies in that universe. And i feel like some these beings could definitely solo a good number of them before going up against some the real heavy hitters that can win by default cause they are like this or they will kill just by being near or intent of killing the S.C.P you know. Anybody have any suggestions as to roughly how strong someone is during their evolution trance? From what we know, there's nothing someone can't do in a trace that the couldn't do at the same level outside of it with a bit of extra training. But clearly, a superhuman mid-trance is superior to their post-trance selves. So I think the trance should put a person in the middle of their growth for that stage, since the trance isn't necessarily your peak strength for that level.

I've wondered this too. Both technique-wise and power-wise a trance seems to be a preview of what they will be mid-way through the level they are evolving to. However as others have said, there isn't likely one baseline for trances. Someone not that compatible or who resists the trance is likely to get less out of it as compared to someone highly compatible and in a situation where they can make the most use of a trance.

I'm already on Monster World arc with a new save in preparation for the(hopefully) soon update, i only began to play SH on Oct I think, so I have not been around since the beginning of this arc, that by some comments on this thread, is widely seen as longer than it must have been, still it offer quite a lot of interesting info, but mostly interactions, that hit more on a re-read.

Mainly Doll-Ella's, in particular two things she said put me to think, when talking about how they became Super Humans, she mention that a ton of Monsters showed up during her infection, as far as i know, that has only happen with her, the second is when everybody talk about how was their first time, Ella just said sum like 'You don't want to know, trust me', and that was after Alice and Michael own already messed up tales, worse still, Ella don't think twice to say out of pocket stuff, so she keeping that to herself make me think that was stuff out of nightmare, that I really hope is unrelated to Tanos or her ascension.

From everything I see of Ella, she goes into everything with a plan. As cocky as she comes off, she's not as arrogant as she makes herself appear. The short story on Patreon "Journal entry: Future Plans..." gives a lot of contextual clues as to what was going on in Ella's head before the battle of diamonds. Losing the effigy and needing to have Deryl make a new one put her behind schedule to a critical degree. While ultimately she was successful (with her objective... the ritual?), she for some reason chose to stay and fight. She went into the fight fully understanding she was going to die. And she planned to fight (and die?) by "Captian Mommy" from the beginning. I'd say things went a little off the rails when Nico ended up being far more of an issue than bargained for and "Captain Fire" broke out of his containment sooner than expected. (Apparently, Eisheth was supposed to attack Malik too to keep him at bay for a time.)

So my thoughts on this are:
-Ella talked about how she knew all about the monster that gave Nyx her powers. She planned to die the way that she did, by Nyx's hands. And from what words we hear from dead Ella from both the Body Path and Shen's dream in Fantasy Path, I'd say things are still going along with Ella's Plan.
-Something that has bothered me for some time is Bailey's mention of seeing on the TV monster a short dark-haired girl seemingly discussing something nefarious with Dr. Xanthe. Super vague and something easily missed had we not eaten Bailey when asked.
-To a lesser or greater degree the doll is sharing memories with Big Ella. Whether that Big Ella is dead Ella in dreamworld or a very alive Ella from Earth... who knows? But as Juscaa mentioned, it will probably lead to doll Ella being absorbed by big Ella at some point.
-Maybe Ella's end goal IS for MC to merge with her, as Dinoflaggelate said. Makes some sense since even Origin form MC stated it needed Ella to be whole.

Yeah, even the early game sex scene with Ella and Tenticles has her mentioning how "it was just like her first time, more or less. Emphasis on less". That comment and how she didn't want to go into her story makes me think the same... Honestly, I'm expecting some super fucked up shit on the same level or worse than how we found the twins. Between that and the time MC and Ella likely spent together during his month running away, I imagine players are about to become a lot more sympathetic to her.
