We are in a world setting where humans are the past and superhumans are the next level, so of course, given how common monster attacks were becoming, it does justify wanting to increase the chances of survival whenever someone gets attacked by a monster (plus the benefits of big tiddies in the future, ik Brannon played a hand in that shit :WeSmart:).

Now, they doing it for total control of the world? Idk, they could've taken the world by force had they wanted it ages ago. It is only thanks to Ella's plans that they have been taking a direct approach to things that of course will cause panic in the population.
Yeah but we know from the seahumans that this doesn't actually lead to victory against the monsters. And even though H.E.R.O. might not know a lot, they should at least be aware of the seahumans and the fact they are now extinct despite obtaining total mastery of the monsters.

This also still doesn't really justify their actions. They're still committing mass eugenics without people's consent or knowledge. They actively rebuffed governmental oversight due to not wanting to share the control over information. And their captains show a definite preference to becoming outright conquerors that care little for the people they lord over.

Why would H.E.R.O. be aware of the seahumans? All of our information was gained outside of H.E.R.O., like visiting Shopkeep, speaking with the vestige, or wandering the ruins of the seahumans' world.

From people like Henri, who traverses the Memory World, and was with us when we met the vestige.

Henri is probably aware given that he's digging around the Other World whenever he is stable enough and he keeps yapping they won't be beaten as long as he's around, whether that remains to be true or not in the future is soon to be seen. I doubt they aware of all the details otherwise MC and Ella would've been a higher priority for them to capture or kill (looking at you Deus). Don't need to remind you Alt Humans world got fucked over by a ritual like the one Ella's doing right?

Look, I ain't gonna enter some shitty debate of good vs evil, nothing is black and white in this story, simple as that. The whole point of the program is to simply keep humanity alive and make them survive the monster infection, thus creating more superhumans. Why? Because Superhumans can't breed, it is the whole reason behind it all and it's far from perfect and wanna know why? Because the board (AKA the Captains) has been slowing Brannon's advances, we got this confirmed when he was bitching to Dexter and asking him to let him loose in order to move humanity foward given the Monster threat escalation.

Now with that been said, tell me dude, what's the alternative? leaving humanity alone? So that when shit hits the fan there isn't manpower to reduce casualities and keep humans alive? Put it to vote and have humans vote against it 'cause "It's wrong! Everybody should be accepted as they are!"? Yeah good luck with that fam.

That's fair, and I don't really intend to argue about good or evil either. I just think it rings very hollow that H.E.R.O. has gone to such lengths and overreach for aims that we know will ultimately fall short of saving humanity. If humanity survives what is to come, H.E.R.O.'s involvement in it will likely be incidental, and their direct actions won't be the reason we win.

First of all, all Henri says he's learned from the vestige is, "their fate, what awaits us. Along with a few personal details about myself."
Second of all, you realise that scene occurs after H.E.R.O. did all the stuff you objected to, right? You think he's gonna time travel to the past to inform them nothing they're doing matters?

You know, I just realized something. If the MC does return to the human world at the end of this arc, and he does in fact evolve, as I have predicted, then that sort of implies that his relationship with H.E.R.O. needs to be terminated, at least for narrative reasons. If he remains with H.E.R.O. then he will certainly be given the evolution serum at the earliest possible opportunity, which means we would be at Level 4 for only a short while. So it stands to reason that something has to happen between now and then that causes the MC to need to leave them. I think this will happen by the end of the current arc, to be honest. Or at the very least, during the next arc. There would be plenty of reason for it; the higher ups are feeling that the MC is not as useful as he originally seemed, the fact that the MC has now been coordinating efforts with Ella for some time now, a person H.E.R.O. considers an enemy and will almost certainly reawaken and cause more issues for them, and the fact that there is a growing ideological difference between the MC's group and H.E.R.O. elite. There's also the fact that H.E.R.O. is likely to be considered a bigger issue by both the public and the government, as they've become more overtly militaristic ever since the MC fell into the monster world due to the increase in monsters, and he can escape that bad publicity if he refuses to go back to work for them once he realizes what has happened during that time.
If I recall and it has been awhile, they can help him skip 2 evos, right? So he'll get back, need to fight his way to the dose after evolving, big boss fights, and then he gets the first one, week of game time, then the hero scientist is killed by his son, and the son takes the last, or destorys the last upgrade drug. This is assuming he gets either of them, this said I am almost willing to put money on that the Hero Scientist guy dies by his son soon-ish after or before next evo. He might not be able to skip any evos, or he might be given a series of quests to earn 1 dose, supplys are all working towards holding back the gate and all being a possible reason.

Most likely he won't be able to skip any evos, till the big ending or final battle, most likely getting his final one during the big bad fight after a week or 2 of returning or more.

In general assume big anime moment with lots of hype in a boss fight, and then mid fight level ups.

Also reminder I pulled all of this out of my ass, there is nothing backing any of what I just said up besides gut feeling.

Can someone recommend me a game that is similar to Superhuman?
I'd suggest looking at Japanese visual novels. This sort of mix of action and porn is decently common in that space. Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, Demonbane, Dies Irae, Muv-Luv Unlimited...it's not too hard to find a Japanese VN that has both superpowered fight scenes and sex scenes. Most of the big names in the field have either official or fan translations, all the ones I listed do but you shouldn't take that as exhaustive.

Another game that was in my backlog. Honestly, I tried it first in like summer 2021 and for real, the game was stale really quick, so I played other games first.

Now, I picked up in January and saw that after 4 years, the game was having a huge load of content, so replaying it I thought the same; game got stale really quick at first, but the more I played, it was starting to be really interesting just before the frat party. The more I played, the more I didn't just liked it, I really loved the game, the characters and how the story was growing.

I just finished the last update and it was fucking awesome.

I don't know how many more story is scheduled for this game, I'll have to read the thread to see if it was discussed before, but I really love where it's going. Without spoiling for new players who won't read the thread, I knew since the beginning that the story behind MC's eyes was bullshit, I thought it was something to do with Ela at first, but the more I played the more I didn't think it would be it. Now that we saw how it happened, got to say it was something really dark and I can't wait to see that battle in the future too!

Personally, I think we're around a half of the way through the story at the moment, or at least we will be come the next update, which should end the current arc. From what I understand, WW has outlined everything from start to finish, so it's just a matter of actually filling in the gaps and all. But yeah, this game is the personification of "it just keeps getting better, so put up with a bit of the weirdness in the beginning."

I think you're right. Also, if the MC will go to level 5, that means a lot of new stories before we reach that point too.

The monster world arc is really fun. You're also right that it keeps getting better with time. I love anime and when I first playing it, I was like; "Ok, it's like an anime visual novel with monsters, crazy battle but in an AVN format, I like that!". It's was just not enough the first time I played and I was in the "waiting to something more to happen" but now, that "something" is batshit crazy and I'm fucking pleased to have picked up again. :ROFLMAO:
