hey just tried the game.

looks like a decent start ill check out the next update in hopes it stays consistent.

having the stance to make your game the way you want is the way to go IMO
take any opinion on how to write your game with a grain off salt and let the consumer decide if its good or not

ps: don't let the "Game developer" or "dev/head writer for mediocre abandoned game" tags add more weight then it should.

Opinions can be ignored, whether they be good or bad. Criticisms are posted to help the dev make the best game they can! The problem I see is trying to separate the wheat from the chaff. That separation process can let opinions get under your skin. This is why I commend the dev for responding to posts that I would personally classify as opinions. Just reading the aforementioned posts made me irritated. A LOT of them came off as whiny or overbearing.

Moving on! Opinions incoming! I like where it seems the game is going. I like the models/renders. I'm looking forward to playing more! I think providing special renders is a GREAT way to let your community know you are still active and working!

*Criticism* I think some of the personalities are great and provide flavor but will probably overshadow others, while some seem pretty mild and may get lost in the background. Hopefully, they don't. A way to prevent that from happening is to have them provide info to MC that can be useful so there's interactions and the MC has to mull over possible choices. I don't think the MC can stay as mild mannered as he is. He has to corral some pretty strong personalities to go in the direction he wants. If there's a disagreement, then he has to be strong enough to be the "glue" to keep everyone together. Just a thought though, and hopefully presented in a way that isn't irritating.

I only bring this up because I'm greedy and want all of them! Selfish reasons I know, but considering it's a harem game....warranted I think.

Keep up the great work!

There's no point in putting choices that lead to game overs in a visual novel because they're not real choices. You are just making more work for yourself while still forcing the player to reload and make a different choice anyway. This is especially true if you aren't even going to lean into the consequences.

By far, the AVN which best implements game overs is Projekt: Passion, which has a lot of comedic death scenes for the MC which serve as quick game overs. The reason that works is because they're just optional jokes (and because the writing is top notch), and they serve an actual purpose (comedy), rather than just forcing you to reload.
