You sound like someone who fell for the 2K/4K marketing. It's a totally unncessary resolution. I'm still enjoying Full HD and the videos just look beautiful. People who play in 2K/4k really just make their own lives harder than it must be. The hardware isn't really there yet largely and rendering videos in these resolutions is a pain in the ass.
Most people still play in Full HD so it's only logical that NLT isn't bloating his game up with 4K videos only a small % of users will enjoy, let alone the enourmous rendering times.
Don must spend countless hours to fix the videos.
I know that Don and Borlandsmen worked hard to find the best quality.
As thanks the mods punished him when he stood up to trolls.
Someone else can a make a mod too.
It should only take hundreds of hours.

Same problem - as I did not "play" the prior Update alone first (before updating to last version) - only in the last version the guy is standing there (for the interaction with the Rat) - Found a v.24 game file - so trying to downgrade - play again from there. I think it's a glitch - not accounting for people not finishing every update in the right manner :/

That's the most annoying shit non-assitance dialogue ever for all the entire video games I ever played, porn or mainstream games. The only girl who was helpful in this serie was the girl in treasure of nadia.
The hero is annoying and has no charisma, genesis order game has a way better main character and we could walk normaly from left to right and up to down not lateral. I really have no clue what kind of sadist made this it doesn't fit the game serie. When you have a good thing, you keep it, you don't change it for the sake of changing stuff, it's like a good mamma recipe and great chiefs ruining it all with modernity and it only taste like crap but everyone saying "how aseome" just because it's new (but only a pale copy of what was really good). Bored...

You can always play the original from NLT and that's okay. The human eye and brain are endowed with the ability to get used to certain artistic performance and graphics. You may feel uncomfortable when switching from a conditional "Cyberpunk 2077 RTX" to a pixel game, but you quickly get used to it if the game interests you. But if you want to improve the overall gaming experience, then HD SotS really succeeds in this.
