What do people do with companions and food? I have been avoiding taking companions because of the pain food becomes, but would like to see if there is new content. Are there tricks to this that I might not know? I think companions should just not cost any food, since the food supply does not get any bigger. Also, does anything interesting happen if you completely run out of food or is it a game over more or less?

companions was just for quest, but travel solo really much better(for me)
There is multiple outcomes when you ran out of food(most of the time you raped and game over)
Hopefully there will be more group content(because right now there is no reason to keep team unless you want see their story/art/porn) just my humble opinion

ToA - New Weekly Build! (v0.3.14.6)

Hotfix version v0.3.14.6 is now available! It fixes an issue with the new save display and an issue with the level up display.

I updated it in my earlier post (only the PC (.jar) version got the fix).

I've got a problem with the Mac version. It starts,i can see the icon on my taskbar and I can hear the music from the game but I have no game window. Can anybody help please ?

Can someone upload the latest full Win 64 build please ? When I update the the .jar (3.14.6) in my 3.14.0 win64 build, there's an error message.

Story Mode is still at Zone 1, but one of the recent monthly posts confirms progress will be made around December/January.

Some companions (Trudy & Kylira) can buff or heal you during combat with spells. They can also act as distractions, getting cornholed.

To offer my two cents here I personally always add Kylira and Trudy to the party. In addition to the awesome combat perks you just mentioned in camp once we have 8 in Charisma, we can "train" with both of them for bonuses.

Also once you get all the achievements legit we can then enable cheats which if I'm not mistaken turns off food consumption.

I will on the 1st when the new monthly update comes out. But I doubt there will be changes to the win64 folder it is still the same from 1st nov.

It's been a couple of weeks but the Redhead+MOD has once again been updated to version 3.14.6

Most of the encounter animations have been updated/modded including the brand spanking new cowgirl animation (yum!). I also worked quite a bit on the 2D art contained within the monsters folder as well as updated and refreshed some of the previously modded artwork I no longer felt was up to snuff.

Probably. You could also just edit the save and give yourself everything if so inclined for that matter too.

So if a solo run is what you prefer then by all means go for it. I know I personally can't play without two of my favorite gurls!

Alright thank you... that's really weird. I've just replaced the .jar like always and now it does not launch anymore...

I just remembered.
Could it be that your jar is named “Tales-of-Androgyny-v0.3.14.6.jar“?
if you download it from the first page, the mod/uploader always add the version number. But the Standalone Java build is looking for Tales-of-Androgyny.jar so you will have to delete the “-vX.X.XX.X“ to make it work.

This is what I recall too from the time when I actually added the companions to the party, which was easily over two years ago now. Then they where just teaching you some magic skills that I do not use anyway. It seemed to me the main benefit of companions are the story lines with them.

Honestly leveling in the game (magic or otherwise) is not very rewarding for me as a) I do not feel I need leveling to "win" "combat"; b) after a few levels I am not sure if I care about putting any more points into anything. Magic I hardly ever use. As far as combat I am more intersted in the sex skills and they all just about do the same thing, basically distinction without a diference. I keep comming back to this game hoping to find more of what it innitially promised. Art has been steadily growing expanding, but the combat never developed into something more complex and engaging as I hoped it would. I still aplaud the authors for a) having a game system b) designing a unique gameplay. The same cannot be said about a vast majority of the games on this site.
