Lol, you can tell I'm not a car guy.Nope, this is a Toyota Supra MK4.
So here's another issue I can suggest a technique to help with!Fun fact: this supra asset does not have different shaders for lights. You cannot switch the car's lights on/off. And the funny part is that the headlights are always on, the tailligts are always off. Here, I used tiny point lights, positioned them inside the taillamp and here we go.

In Daz it's possible to use the geometry editor to select subsections of a model geometry and assign them to a new/different surface. Then in the model's materials setup you can give that surface a different shader config to the rest of the connected object. *OR* even better in your case: copy the existing material, assign the copy to your new surface, but then tweak it e.g. change the surface emission settings to make the taillights glow / turn off the headlamps.
I wouldn't say I alreary learned everything, but I installed it and started clicking every button...Oh i Forgot to ask, how much time it took you to learn daz3d and from where did you learned it. I have just completed Python programing theory.
Never been much of a supra guy, always more of a S30z guy(if only they didn't cost like 7k for a roller here), but man that orange looks good on that supra. When the MC gets rich, is he going to take off the wrap and paint the car? (I assume its wrapped because of the engine bay being a different color to the car)
I see. ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6600 8 GB GDDR6 RAM PCIe 4.0 Dual Fans Desktop Graphic Card. I am planning to buy this, Just earlier bought 1 TB SSD.I wouldn't say I alreary learned everything, but I installed it and started clicking every button...
When I bumped into problems, I usually watched youtube videos or browsed forums to figure it out. I'd say, it needs a few weeks, or maybe more depending on how much time you can spend on.
However I had an automotive youtube channel earlier, so I have some experience in photo and videography. That helps with image composition, and some settings.
Unfortunately these car assets are not really detailed, so I couldnt figure out how to change the color of the engine bay. But this is not a huge problem, engine bays are usually have different colors in racecars.Never been much of a supra guy, always more of a S30z guy(if only they didn't cost like 7k for a roller here), but man that orange looks good on that supra. I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't recommend any Radeon GPUs for DAZ. You'll need Iray engine to make nice, photorealistic renders, and it only works with nvidia GPUs. I think, a 3060 is the cheapest entry level gpu, it has 12GB VRAM and after the new nvidia gpu series came out, I think you can find one for a "reasonable" price on the market now.I see. Thanks bro.... you saved me a lot of trouble because i was eyeing that one for quite some time...... I will choose more carefully from now on.I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't recommend any Radeon GPUs for DAZ. Damn the renders are looking good and polished nowdev update March 2025:
In the last weeks, I had a lot of IRL things to do, which kept me away from my project (in a nutshell: funeral, illness).
But, I tried to spend every free time I have on this despite the circumstances... The renders are finally ready. The prologue contains almost 1000 renders, so it was quite a challange.
After spending hundreds of hours in DAZ studio, I think I learned the basics, but there's always room for improvements, and I made a list about the things I want to improve in.
Currently I'm working on the code side. Fortunately, Renpy is quite easy to use, and I'm making a good progress with it. But I don't wanna jynx it...
- More consistent lighting: Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's completely all over the place, so I'll have to fix this and maintain a constant good quality, no matter if its inside, outside, daytime, nighttime or whatever.
- More precise posing: I feel sometimes it gets repetitve, or simply just not good. Plus clothes clipping through and stuff...
- "Rubber dick syndrome": I use dicktator for my MC, but the texture is awful. I've found a solution for the future, a texture asset for dictator, which will be implemented in the upcoming updates.
- Unrealistic teeth: Either too grey or unrealisticly white. This is also a lighting issue, so improving my lighting skills will also help this problem.
- Hair problems: Hairs are probably the most complex assets of the software. Good looking, realistic hair assets are EXTREMELY resource hungry, so they are basically unusable. Even if you have a 4090/5090 or whatever top of the line GPU, you can't make a proper scene with more than 6-8 people, it will eat up all the memory you have.
Obviously, low res hairs are usable, but ugly. So I'm still looking for nicely optimized hair assets.

Some early menu design, testing:
In the meantime, I'm setting up my patreon and discord aswell, so future updates, and dev notes will be available there more frequently. These platforms will be published when I get to release the prologue. This means I'll have a new name as a publisher, or developer:
I really appreciate your support and the DM's, you helped me a lot, and now we are getting really close to the point what everyone is waiting for.
