What's up, people?
Been a while, huh?
I want to start this post by apologizing for the near radio silence over the past two months.
After releasing
1.01.04 in December, I took a small break to handle some
real life issues, and that break ended up being longer than expected so I could sort everything out.
Development for
1.01.05 officially kicked off in the second half of January, starting as usual—gathering assets, brainstorming ideas, storyboarding key scenes, and writing dialogue.
But midway through, I found myself
accidentally flooded with ideas for the management mechanics that will be introduced in
1.02—and I realized I had to shift my focus to them before I lost my train of thought.
So I dove into coding the foundation: boring Python stuff like classes, functions, and some barebones UI work. And, well… I got so absorbed that before I knew it, it was mid-February, and I hadn’t made much progress on actual scenes!
That’s when I snapped back and refocused on scene work—y'know, the kind of progress I can actually
show you.
So yeah, I ended up making a lot of progress on things that
won’t be in this update… and not as much on things that
will.
That said, I
did manage to modernize the event system, so it no longer relies on Python lists to store active and finished events (which used to cause all sorts of issues for some users).
I gotta say, though—I can’t wait to wrap up
1.01 and move on to new stuff!
Well, that’s it for this devlog. Don’t forget to check out the

for some of the scenes I’ve worked on so far!
Have fun!
