In my game, certain text and numbers are shown as a square, like for example their sizes.
In the screenshots however these sizes show up fine.
I've applied the patch, both manually and through autoupdate.

What is causing this, and how do I fix it?

Edit: solved; running the game in Japanese Locale fixes the font issues.

Rule 7 is for legal reasons and for realistic depictions in the first place. No matter how many times people misunderstand this- it's still not an anti-loli rule. hence why the tag exists and many games can have it.

But yes- she isn't shown in the samples but there is a loli char in the game like most of hige to dekos games- and much like many of hige to dekos games she acquires a cock and becomes a futanari test subject that either submits or doms depending on player choices.

well its hard to not mis-understand it when its so wishy-washy. like how this devs other games specifically mention "sucking this KIDS dick" or the alike or that flower princess elulu game where your playing as a kid getting molested on a train. those games are ok, but other games like violated princess or violated heroine get banned. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Huh?. You sure you got the right dev? Hige to dekos usual formula lets you basically sit in one place and replay parts of a route back to back to back depending on main quest progression. So doing the main quest(which has scenes)- which in this consist of walking one map away and fighting 1 group of enemies- will unlock a new threshold for all scenes going on- which start from 1 and go to whatever. so finding a NPC with scenes later you'll likely have 5-6-7 parts already there to view in order.


This one is even less restrictive for some scenes where there is a public disturbance meter that goes up as you fight enemies in some areas- and scenes are tied to that. so you can either watch a scene- fight an enemy 1 step away- watch a scene again. or fight multiple enemies and watch multiple scenes at once. The maximum of the meter is still locked by main progression though because it leads to permanently bad ending characters that you need for story reasons

Why cheating tag tho?

Hige to dekos games always have a married older woman who gets corrupted through drugs, rape, and/or mind control by some authority figure-usually their boss. It does little to really appeal to those who like cheating tropes because it's never the player character involved in the scene and the actual side-heroine who is involved gets no agency. In this one the optional side-route takes a linear course where you control the husband and just go around day by day watching her fall- ends up just being a scene viewer as you talk to the same 2 people.
