Hi. I really want to publish review of the game and I want to apologize in advance for quality of the text. This is Google translate. But the desire to share my opinion is stronger than shame.
The game resonated with me, so I want to analyze it in detail. I think the plot doesn't work as it should. 90% of male characters here are so disgusting (as are the situations the heroine finds herself in) that I had no desire to hand her over to them. And their appearance and the quality of the 3D-models play a huge role in their disgust. You can count cute guys on the fingers of one hand: Jennifer's boss, who looks like Kevin Bacon; Scoppino's partner Billy; her husband and colleague, made from the same model; Liam. They all have the same and disgusting-looking penises, and it look like it were artificially sewn on. The same thing applies to the scenes and animations. I understand that the author (or authors) probably worked at the limit of their capabilities, and the low level of the game is visible to the naked eye (in addition to the shortcomings mentioned, I can mention the unsightly interface, poor soundtrack, identical locations), but sometimes I had a strong feeling that they liked to put Jen under all these freaks. In addition, they are all perverts and sexually obsessed. When all (!) Mike's clients turned out to be ugly old men and women (except for his boss's wife) and harassed either him or his wife, I felt that I no longer believed in what was happening. But Jen is such an angel. From beginning of game I felt so offended for her that I began to avoid troubles in any way possible. Should a player feel sorry for the heroine of a porn game? Something is definitely not working right! Surprisingly, sometimes I still started to like their attempts to seduce Jen, and this was quite unexpected. However, two things bother me: firstly, it happened when I couldn't quickly influence the situation, and secondly, I liked to see Jenn not just in the arms of ugly characters, but in the arms of these ugly 3D-models. Therefore, I confidently declare that the plot does not work as it should.
It's great that the author punishes player for the decisions and mistakes made, but sometimes it gets too exaggerated. I would call it porn-realism, when almost everyone around is harassing and trying to put their dick in the heroine's mouth. I would prefer the plot to be more serious. For example, I completely ignored sergeant Kelly's line and lost a lot of points because of it. In the end, Jen did not become a detective, which I think is unfair, because she solved three cases! Kelly initially seemed like a normal guy and I did not like that Jen is forced to use her feminine charms during interrogations. It looks stupid, since no criminal would exchange freedom for a pair of boobs. It's great that author does not try to make us sympathize with Mike, maintaining balance between Jen's corruption and her husband's "forced" betrayals. But there is simply no balance in the game. Even though Jen cheated on him, she was constantly getting "love points" and I couldn't get him to get into a bad relationship and end up dumping her. Loyalty points also seem useless.
The plot progressed well until about time Jen went off to college. I think this arc was a complete failure. A couple of identical scenes with group sex, we are quickly taken through all the participants of the crime chain, and that's it. Where is the immersion into college life? Parties, studying, horny teachers? Why did they introduce the school principal into the plot? Seriously, I was expecting something like "21 Jump Street"! And I was sure that El Gucho would be the mayor of the city (who looks more like odious MMA fighter than mayor). And what about Liam? From what I understand, his arc ends with him going back to Sandra, who apparently cheated on him with her own brother, since she and Dave have the same 3D-model! Wasn't Jen supposed to finally thank Liam, or is this just the ending I got? Instead, she goes back to Dave. And what about searching for pervert in subway? Characters from previous chapters disappear forever. But Flowers could have been made not just a competitor, but also a forced partner of the main character, and then a friend. And what about a plot twist in the spirit of "Infernal Affairs"? And the opportunity for Jen to go over to the side of the bad guys herself, when she likes being criminal whore? But it all ends in the middle. The friend betrayed, the husband cheated, even the bartender harasses, making the passing completely unrealistic. It looks like a serious plot twist before the finale. The heroine effectively leaves the bar and ... from the slideshow I learn that she made peace with her husband and is generally happy. What, that's it?! I'm disappointed. More realism, less ugly characters and endless perverts, a more subtle approach, complete storylines, Scoppino's self-sacrifice, a shootout in the subway at the end - and I would say that I really liked this game. But I will only praise it for being able to captivate me to the end and surprise me a couple of times, causing unintended reactions. Another plus is the same uniform. Similar game about a prison ("Prison life") also has scary men and an idiotic plot, but when I saw that police had different uniforms, it immediately turned me against it. Thank you.
