First off, the game was never "abandoned" as you just mentioned. Not sure why you would make such a misleading comment?

Second, the core and original story is not changing. It seems some people failed to read and understand what was written. The plans as described in the post by the Dev / Creator are awesome, and I definitely look forward to it!

Also, before anyone continues to guess and assume things, just wait for the final release of the new remastered version and then we should give our feedback, not assume and say things that are clearly not true or correct. The new remastered version is mostly significant improvements and expanding on the existing story line as the post says. Either way, this new upcoming version sounds great, and the story and hot scenes to come are only going to get better!

Cheers to the Dev / Creator at Groovers Games for working hard to take this AVN Game to the next level! I can't wait for the new release! Sounds pretty hot & awesome!

I appreciate where you're coming from and respect your opinion. I am also a supporter and fan since last year, and I totally love the game, same as you, my friend. Victoria is definitely a hot minx, and I can't wait to see her ongoing naughty journey in the game. ;-)

From my understanding and based on what I read, the reason for the remastering is to bring about significant improvements, and expand on the existing main story, and to make it a better experience for everyone. There will be a continuation from version 0.55, so nothing ends because of the remastered new version. As for the hot scenes and story with Michael and others in the AVN Game, you will definitely see more of that coming too!

Another point I would like to add is that the game is not starting from scratch lol. It's going to continue where it left off. The main story will continue and expand further. I'm not sure why that is so hard to understand.

On the part you mentioned about the game being in a blackout stage, I was not aware of it, but the Dev never actually abandoned the game. In the past year to the latest update, this AVN Game has only gotten better, and it's one of the hottest AVNs out there, imo.

Also, nothing stops. The story continues and gets even better. Also, there is no need to re-render the current scenes in the main story, because as you said: "they are absolutely perfect." And I totally agree with you, and from my understanding there won't be any re-rendering, only new content for the expanded parts of the main story, along with other improvements and new features, which is great!

As I mentioned before, I'm totally looking forward to the new upcoming remastered version with that super hotness, Victoria! ;-)

The last VN that tried this that I am aware of is Innocence or Money [S1 Remaster] [MarcialART], they took forever and the remastered product in my opinion is shite and you can barely tell the difference after a long remaster time.

I was loving Victoria's story as it is and frankly could care less about her small town origin story as the post was alluding to. That's why I dropped support until they get back to to advancing the storyline I new and loved. Maybe they can make it really interesting and it will all be worth it in the end but there are to many Devs making the content I like and want to see more of that could use support. I can take the money I was spending here and support other devs and hopefully the people who want to see a remaster origin story will step up to donate.

Also I have yet to see a response from this Dev on Victoria appearing in the Laura Lustful VN, which I find rather perplexing and a bit worrying. So financially I'm out until we get back to content I actually want to see.

Am I excited about it? No. Am I hopeful they pull it off? I'm cautiously optimistic.

I see some concern in the comments, so let me briefly explain what's going on with the remastering.

I understand you might be looking at this through the lens of other games that underwent remastering, where developers started everything from scratch, re-rendering everything, for instance.

The new version will include everything so far, along with new scenes continuing the story, much like a regular update. I don't intend to re-render everything from scratch, especially since the last few updates seem really good visually to me.

The main storyline change will be that Victoria won't be forced to choose between Michael and David, which many people have criticized. Based on those comments, as players, you'll have more flexibility and will be able to opt out of both or engage in a relationship with both simultaneously, depending on your choice.

The remastering aims to improve weak points, such as sound, so sound effects will be added, and if time permits, maybe even new music because I know listening to the same song can get tiresome.

The new introduction and character biographies aim to clarify and outline the plot. Some, judging from the comments, understand the game storyline well. Others don't see any sense in it, which I also understand. That's why we want to make sure the story is clear and consistent.

Of course, not everyone has to like it because we all have different tastes.

Anyway, if you have any specific questions for me, I'll gladly answer them.

I totally understand where you're coming from, especially being a supporter myself for years. I support IoM and still do, but I agree it took way too long for their remastered version, but to each their own. I support many Devs / Creators on Patreon and some are awesome, some are trying, and then there are Devs / Creators that drag things out, don't deliver and fail to connect with their fans and supporters, and those I quickly stop supporting. As for other Devs that do remastering on their AVN Games, some turn out great, while others lose direction and fall flat. It happens.

We can't expect perfection from anyone, but we can share our suggestions to help the Devs out there doing awesome, good stuff that entertain us.

From my understanding, this new remastered version coming out in July 2024 is expected to be really good, and the announcement is pretty clear. The main story will continue and expand, and only get better. Not including all of the improvements and features they mentioned. I love it and look forward to seeing it!

I believe this new remastered version will be epic from everything I read in the announcement and heard from the Dev. The Team at Groovers Games are committed to giving us a much better experience, and as I said before, the announcement speaks for itself. But the best way forward is for us to wait and see the new remastered version, and then we should give our genuine feedback. I think we will be in for a real treat when this new remastered version of ViBC comes out.

As for Victoria appearing on Laura Lustful VN, I was surprised to see that too, but I don't see that as a negative at all. The idea to create this DarkCon - like a special event etc. having other known MC characters is pretty cool and interesting, and I guess for cross promotion purposes it's good for both Devs. I'm not against it, I support Dark Anu also. We'll see how it goes.

Again, we should all just wait and see how things turn out when the new remastered version of ViBC comes out, and then share our thoughts and give feedback. I always believe we should give everyone a chance, until they really disappoint and then we know it's time to move on.

Like I said before, I'm definitely excited and looking forward to seeing the new remastered version of the game, especially that sexy minx, Victoria and her ongoing naughty story.

Well, I'll give the remaster a chance. The renders and animations always seemed excellent to me, my only gripe was the lack of freedom in certain decisions and that the scoring system didn't make sense, something that seems to be fixed in the remaster.
I think it will be balanced, it won't be ultra complex with the dreaded sandbox of RPGM games, but not linear-kinetic either.
They also changed the name of the game, a small thing that shouldn't affect anything .

With all due respect, let me interject here. First off, you don't need to be so damn rude and insulting to share your comments and opinions, which are all wrong, over an AVN Game. I'm a long time supporter and love ViBC, and if the Dev and Team at Groovers Games want to make ViBC even better for everyone, I'm all for it! The story is going to continue as intended, and it will be expanded and be much better too. If you don't understand that, then that's on you.

You clearly misunderstand the Dev, and the whole purpose of why the game is being remastered and improved, and NO, it will not be anything close to a "slow burn" game at all. The main story is continuing along with new expanded stories that are complimenting the game, as the Dev announced. The story will continue from the last update version 0.55.

Also, remastering simply means improving and making the existing works better, and not necessarily changing the main story, theme, or plot in the AVN Game. Based on your negative and insulting comments, your incorrect assumptions are obvious. The Devs / Creators have the right to improve their AVN Game as they see fit to make it better for everyone, and that is what they are doing, whether you personally like it or not.

Here are some clear points to make in response to your rude, incorrect and insulting comments:
1) You wont be waiting years, only a few months! The continuation and expansion of the main story is expected to have a good variety of hot juicy scenes as the Dev post said. I'm looking forward to it! -

2) The story is continuing as intended, and it's expanding too! What part of the announcement and follow up did you NOT understand? -

3) There is NO mention of "Slow Burn" in any post by the Dev. The AVN Game (ViBC) never has been and never will be a "slow burn" AVN, and it doesn't need to be. These are your own words and assumptions. The story and scenes are only going to get better, and continue from the last version ViBC 0.55! And, the main story line and direction is NOT changing, but somehow you keep misunderstanding this and assuming it is, so that's on you. -

4) The Dev does NOT need to justify anything to you, or anyone. The Dev is simply being courteous and responding to try to help you understand, but for whatever odd reasons you may have, you seem to keep assuming things, and continue making rude and insulting comments because again, you keep failing to understand the clear and simple announcement made by the Dev about the coming improvements in the new remastered version of the game. The only "disaster" here is you, and your unnecessary rude insults and incorrect assumptions as written in your own comments. And again, this is on you. -

5) Matching sound effects for select hot scenes sounds awesome to me, and many people would love it! But if you don't care for sound you can simply mute all sound, which is easy to do in RenPy, if that's an issue for you. Everyone has different tastes and preferences in life, but at least it will be available, and that is a big plus. If anything, you should appreciate the extra work being done by Groovers Games to make ViBC better for everyone to enjoy even more, instead of being rude and assuming things you clearly fail to understand.

It's very clear you failed to understand what the Dev posted, because everything you wrote in your comment is rude, insulting and incorrect. The Dev is not here to cater to one rude and insulting individual. You could easily make simple suggestions without being rude and insulting to the Dev. You can do better.

So, instead of making rude and insulting comments, and assuming things about the new improvements coming to the AVN Game (ViBC), which you are wrong about, why don't you share your feedback and suggestions after the new remastered version is released, and you actually experience it for yourself from start to finish, instead of being rude, insulting, and embarrassing yourself by making incorrect assumptions about the game. Maybe you're just on here to be rude and assuming because you have nothing better to do. Who knows!?

I also want to add, NO Dev is here to create AVN Games for one particular person. The story and game are made for everyone's enjoyment and entertainment who likes this type of genre. If you don't like the new and exciting improvements being implemented in ViBC for everyone to enjoy it more, by all means, move on. There are many AVN Games out there. And, as stated in the latest post by Groovers Games, the Dev plans on creating a better experience, and to make it in the best way possible for everyone to enjoy. The past two posts by the Dev speak for themselves and it is very clear.

Perhaps you should try understanding what has been written before making assumptions that are clearly incorrect, rude and insulting on your part.

NO Dev is responsible to fix anyone's stupidity or wrongful assumptions. But at least the Dev responds with courtesy, respect and honesty, which is something you failed to show in your rude and insulting comments!

When the new remastered version of ViBC comes out, everyone will have a chance to experience it for themselves, and all feedback, comments and suggestions, (Minus: Rude Insults and Misleading False Assumptions), are always welcome.
