Voronica Goes To Town (0.3.12)
Remember Voronica the ‘vore’ bunny? She’s back for a second adventure that takes her to and through town. If you thought a house of tinies was bad, prepare for the worst when she enters the city.
STORY
VGTT takes place some time after Voronica Cleans House, during a court case after Voronica has been sent to jail for murder, property destruction and a bunch of other things. The game recalls earlier moments and capitalizes on a loophole Sasha from the first game exposed - allowing Voronica to go on parole instead of going back to jail.
If by now you haven’t realised, this game is absurd. It really dives into the vore/giantess fetish and doesn’t hold back on morbid humor. Voronica ends up held hostage by her parole officer Hart, a hermaphrodite deer who quickly learns Voronica isn’t just another pushover. Slowly, they warm up to each other - but Hart is super serious when it comes to paying rent.
As you explore the complex you are held in, you meet new characters and find new stories to play a role in. Eventually, Voronica is granted permission to work outside the house and make more money. The result is shenanigans at every workplace she can find a job in. It’s a fresh take on the Voronica story, even though it isn't always sensible.
PRESENTATION
Everything from the first game is here - the graphics, but definitely the gore as well. This developer swaps sprites with a final renders and while the style isn’t too realistic, it works because the story is just as absurd. That said, Voronica looks amazing and at times horrifying as well.
The new cast of tinies is amazing, in all kinds of shapes and races. Not to mention the largies, who are more varied than in the first game. With the addition of the city, you’ll have a lot of new scenes to discover and find characters in. There’s a club, a clothing shop and more - the developer really used the sandbox model to showcase the city that houses Voronica and her shenanigans.
Like its predecessor, the game features sexual scenes and has some gore if you look for it. You can choose to simply digest someone or make it messy. Regardless of what hole you allow them into. The vore isn’t limited to Voronica alone, as other creatures use the ability to enrich themselves just as much. It’s as humorous as it is horrifying at times.
GAMEPLAY
For Veronica Goes To Town, the developer made the story play out in a sandbox with different places to visit. You start out in a complex and gradually make your way outside. The whole experience feels like an expansive story and works well to immerse you into Voronica’s often bizarre world.
The sandbox does come with a downside - you will have to pay $400 rent each week to stay in the house. You are required to do jobs and make due, eventually finding better ways to make money. It can be a bit complex and those who just want a story should definitely look for a walkthrough.
For those looking for an additional challenge, the game offers all kinds of extras - minigames for ‘voring’, respawn chances for tinies and custom growth selection. These can be disabled if you just want the bare minimum of gameplay, but the sandbox is mandatory. Personally I found the minigames to take away from the experience and didn’t need the additional challenge, which made the game far more chill and story-based.
A main requirement of the game is hunger - you need to feed on people in order to survive and grow. But eating people will cause you heat. Too much heat will get you noticed by law enforcement. You have to keep enough of a low profile while feeding in order to grow. This actual game tactics will have you planning when or how you can devour someone and who it should be.
The fact you as a player get to pick who, where and when is eaten feels powerful. There are many stories to tell and experience and even more tinies to devour. This is a big step up from the original Voronica stemmed from and a true sandbox experience.
OVERALL
What could be worse than Voronica in a house? The bunny back in the city. This time she’s funnier, hornier and has characters to keep her in check while she gets to dominate others. It’s quite a rollercoaster besides the subject of voring, but together it’s a unique package that ups the ante from the original game. We can only suspect what will happen when Voronica’s mother finally enters the scene…
