Could you explain to me how my proposed changes disrespect the dev's vision?

My problem with the dev is that he isn't fulfilling his vision of the game that he communicated to the player through his advertising and dialogue on what he refers to as a "strong" path with an "active" protagonist.

Dev gives player the choice what MC turns on MC most about the entire sharing scenario.
In the following scene MC is actually described as taking more initiative. Ammie also realises that reclaiming her and outdoing the bulls is what turns MC on the most. That's what the dev communicates to the player through text and dialogue explicitly.

The choice above is mute. Only the lower option is continued within the game after that scene.

The dev has completely dropped following up on the "reclaiming" choice. Not for lack of opportunity or because it would've been too much effort to implement. 50-100 lines of dialogue, 1 or 2 cg's and a couple variable checks could at least get you a passable strong route.

He still advertises this MC on itch.io



Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but afaik the game isn't free. Only free version I can find officially is 0.05 on itch.io
Coincedently, one of the last versions with any semblance of an "active" and "strong" MC (before Geist shows up).
If you paid money to see more of this "active" "strong" "little more in control" MC after trying the free version, I wouldn't blame you for feeling scammed at this point in the game.

I don't want to call the dev a scammer though. I don't think he crafted the semblance of a strong route to milk people for their money.
I can completely understand that he's simply focussing on the kind of content he, and obviously the majority of his audience, are interested in.
I would simply like to see him acknowledging that in the game and dropping the pretense of a strong protag. Call it what it is - "humiliation route" and "gentle femdom route".
Or, rework the "active" route and actually implement an active and strong protag. Like I've said before, it wouldn't take a huge amount of effort, and wouldn't change any of the already existing routes.

I didn't communicate well in my previous posts. I am trying to provide constructive criticism though. Wouldn't have typed that many suggestions to improve the strong route otherwise.


If a dev is honest and transparent with his vision and goals for a game I completely respect that. If the game isn't for me, I don't play it.
I can see from the preview images of your game "Nyatorase" that it isn't going to be to my tastes. Did I go into your threat and complain about it?
This game is different. An active protag was advertised and implemented up to a certain point in the game, and then dropped. That's what I'm criticizing and hoping for the dev to improve upon, however he sees fit.

I don't really have a problem with the way the game is going on either path. The game hasn't fallen into the same bad habits most others in this genre do.

That said the "dom/reclaim/stag" path or whatever it's suppose to be, isn't really any different than the sub route honestly. It's basically just the sub route without the light humiliation dialogue. Whole thing could have been achieved by just adding a "Do you like humiliation dialogue? Yes? No?"option.

Again, I really enjoy the game and it's one of the best currently imo, but I do see how people are disappointed with the path. It doesn't really feel like it exits for the most part.

On another note. Really have no idea why we all decided to let 3 Japanese genre tags dictate what games made by non-Japanese devs who speak a different language are suppose to be. Or argue about the "proper" definition of said tags when Japanese creators don't even use the "proper" definitions and each one has been stretched to hell and back, because the tags have evolved to include more things over time.

Then again not like people use the English ones properly either. Shit's just all blured togethor.

Torturing wait is waiting between updates so adding in blue balling into the actual game is a nty for me. It's something forced on the reader that no one asked for. And even when I'm subbing being forced to wait arbitrarily without end with no payoff isn't how it works. The dude completely lost touch after the actual nts started.

Hey everyone!

As mentioned in a previous post, Karman and I have been discussing some ways we can avoid burning out and avoiding delays with releasing new versions. While we absolutely LOVE working on the game for everyone, with the time consuming nature of our IRL jobs, it can be hard to work full throttle on both at the same time until we earn enough on Vulgar Reverie where we can hopefully work full time on making it!

One thing we have both agreed on as well as based on feedback from everyone here, was to take a small break after the release of a new version to catch up on other things such as What If? Raffle art, Ammieverse and for me to fix bugs and interact with the community more!

Another solution as a way to help ease our workload is by adding in somebody to potentially join the team as someone who can add character sprites, transitions, animations and bug test for us during the development of each new version.

This will allow Karman and I to purely focus on the writing, art and H-Scenes and not worry about anything else apart from that, meaning ZERO delays and more time for Karman to focus on his side working with them to get the art added in to the game, and more time for me to write the story and program!

Nothing is confirmed right now and V0.12 will be using the same development cycle, but as soon as I have confirmation, I'll let you all know!

Oh, and as for V0.12's release, we are aiming for March 28th!
