He has his reasons if he does it (we speculate it's to protect SG) and let's be honest, WIAB suffered in development and never managed to explode in economic support, the ban of Patreon accelerated that feeling and maybe the changes will serve to attract attention outside the hyper-specific niche where WIAB fit.

I could understand all the reason of hard changing but the core of this game is base on incest, feelings for family and all relationship with love or drama.
My point is it would be completely new game with the same name.
Why not keep the incest patch or uncensored version?
It's not the first game that have this system...one version for steam and another for Subscribestar.

Also this we have discussed, Steam has no problems with WIAB content, at least for now SS doesn't either.
If the change is real and not just makeup that can be patched, it's not because of WIAB per se, it's because some of those relationships may have fruits that will be seen in SG... and if SG loses its patreon, there will be no money, only Steam sales.
If it is patchable, that will be done by fans, the original evil modder does not want to compromise the revenue. Besides, if the story really changes, a fan-made patch can bring inconsistencies by "forcing" certain family ties (this as a theory, not as a fact written in stone).

No, first it was demonstrated that most people from patreon do not switch to SS. You have to give data that people don't want to give, and that's as long as SS is working properly. The response time of SS is pitiful. And second, SS does not guarantee that the topics discussed are allowed, they are just turning a blind eye while they can.

It comes down to how Ocean chooses to alter the relationships while providing a credible explanation to maintain the tension (and apparent taboo) of the Willi/Leia relationship and Willi's reason for leaving. There's a whole range of possible scenarios outside of incest that could be used. For example, perhaps Willi/Leia did something really bad/illegal and Willi jumped ship when he thought Katie would rat them out.

Removing incest is NOT the end of the game. It's just the end of enjoyment for those who play the game predominantly for that kink.

Removing incest is 100% not the end of the game but removing it only partially and leaving behind a story which isnt really working could be.

I mean you state there could be countless reasons (in the story we have so far, there is existing stuff already, were not at 0% content) but your only example is kind of really shit?

And thats kind of the problem were at, its not THIS easy to make the story we got at this point without family relations without bending the logic over backwards.

My favored solution would still that helen and dylan are the real parents (not lewdable), Katie could be a neighboor and dunno about Leia if there is supposed to be no incest.
