Dev Update 12th December
Hey folks
Progress continues on episode 25, and from an art perspective, Cell is finishing off the Jenna scene and it's looking HOTTTT! As for writing, I'm happy with the progress, but I am still in the "chaos" phase... where I'm not writing single scenes, but rather planning out the overall episode, so I have batches of dialog across multiple scenes and (more importantly) working on the flowcharts / variables required for the episode. In addition to snippets from many different scenes, I have about 30 pages of notes and variables / flowcharts. This is the most difficult part of any episode, to ensure branching / continuity is correct and so I can figure out how many different versions of each scene are needed and to make sure ALL angles are covered. And it requires a lot of revising / scrubbing shit / re-doing. Writing the dialog / story is much easier in comparison. So, on paper... If anyone was to take a peek at my notes, they would think it was just chaos, but it makes sense to me.
And just as an FYI, there WILL be a six-some scene as part of the finale: MC and up to (depending on choices) 5 women. I shudder at the thoughts of the writing / branching & art (good luck Cell) for this scene, because each player may / may not be romancing ALL 5 of the women in question (so, we'll need to cover that), but we've already done a foursome, so we have to go bigger and better for the last episode. You can probably guess who four of the women will be, but I'm interested in your guesses as to the fifth? HINT: (And please no hate, as this one should be obvious...), Don't expect Monica, Jenna AND Katie together in the same sex scene (
We'll keep that option for a fantasy epilogue). As mentioned previously, I am waiting until January, before attempting to give an estimate for when Episode 25 will be complete. At that stage we'll have had a few weeks dedicated / uninterrupted work under our belt, so I'll have a better idea of how long the whole thing will take. (Hint, it WILL be in 2025
)
Cell is busy on episode 25 art but I haven't done any episode 25 artwork as I'm sticking with the script for now. Centurion is chomping at the bit to dive into work, but I'm slowing him down, because I haven't given him much to work on. I need to give him some direction / insight into the plans / assets, etc., but I've had my head buried in the sand on the episode 25 script, so that's my bad. The plan will be to set Centurion up properly as we head into the new year, so we can start seeing the benefits of a three-person team, rather than two. But he has provided all of the themed bonus images in this post and there will be plenty of Centurion's 4K images (for the relevant tiers) posted before the end of this month. And there's another few examples below.
