phone contact is still broken and crashing out in 23.1, do I really need to start over to make a save that works with this update?

you started 23.1 from what moment ?

i didn't had it, I started from choosing what to do with cop so slightly before 0.22 ended

You can start a new game from the main menu, it has option to start from last update 0.23, it should work without bugs.

When trying to play the current version 23.0 it keeps giving me the message "An Exception Has Occurred" is there a way to fix it?

I just played it with my main Save file, since Rick enters the bookstore and confronts the one who has Elyon captive, since there everything works well, only that some additional scenes, so to speak, are shown out of continuity, and everything works well, for me yes, I don't know for the others

For any new comers who just downloaded the game and are either facing the public reading or cornelia phone call bug. Here's the fix:

Wait for 23.1 to come out since that patches everything wrong. Why is it bugging in the first place? Something that involves older saves not being compatible causing the issue.

Alternatively, you can also just start a new game from update 23.0 which would allow you to progress normally without any bugs appearing. However, if you're worried about having to disregard you're old save like I was then think of it like this instead. Play a new game from update 23.0 to unlock the new scenes then when 23.1 officially comes, load your old save and skip the contents you've seen until you reach the latest update (whenever that comes out)

If you click start, you will have the option to skip to the latest patch. You can skip text in settings. Full gallery in first page. What more do you want?
