I was in the minority who wasn't bothered by the MC's face in the original version (just pointed out how MC's breasts were still visible in some renders, and I understood why some people didn't wanna play a feminine looking MC), and I waited to play this remake until I had free time so I could enjoy multiple updates in a row and give it all my attention to give it fair criticism.
This rework started solid, but the more I played with the new sandbox system the more annoying, confusing and frustrating it became.
The renders are still gorgeous, but the fact that you don't get hints in a sandbox game until you get the new phone is frustrating as hell. I've been waiting since forever for Mr. Simon to sign the papers, but he isn't home or 'locked' inside his office in the basement. If this content isn't available yet, the hint system should at least tell us that (like Desert Stalker does, for example, the quest log lets you know if the quest has reached its current content).
The constant clicking to navigate the house and school are also annoying.
I'll drop this game simply because of how annoying the sandbox/navigation system is for me, which is a shame cause I really like the render quality, the characters and even the reworked story, but sadly moving around in the game feels more like a chore. Best of luck for the devs and people who still enjoy it as it is.
