Are all of the random events meant to be placeholders in NG+ or is something breaking?

This is pretty fun, but I get why people get annoyed with the random nature. I've been playing for 2 hours and still haven't gotten a single of the three endings.

I did notice a few bugs. There is a lot of times "Stephie" goes back to being Steve again, and there is a few times Chloe will admit to wanting to kiss "michelle" even though I'm still playing as a guy
