In itself, the food system is well thought out, though difficult to master at first.
A food wish is expressed, for which one has to go shopping. Food not only fights hunger, but also boosts morale if necessary, which would make it possible to prepare a meal specifically to buff a certain person.
Unfortunately, this is not fully implemented at the current time, so you could prepare two dishes, but currently lacks the ability to learn new recipes. Maybe a cooking show on TV should help here, and if you watch it in pairs, more interactions would be possible.
One should also keep in mind that five people live in the house. Since shopping only takes 1h, one can also run twice a day if necessary.
What bothers me more is that there is no approximate schedule for the roommates. So you run pointlessly through the house several times a day, looking for new events.
The game is still in a very early phase. Just bring along a little patience.
