There is a second way: just do Gwen's storyline until you rescued Sabrina from the swamps and become officially Gwen's apprentice. From now on she goes to sleep in her bedroom at night. Now you can easily use the bookcase

Does anyone have a direct guide to Bar Fight? Rather than memorizing which bark = rock paper scissors, was hoping someone wrote up a guide.
wasn't worth the hassle of trying to figure it out, so I did the easy way... just raise strength and you won't have to fight anymore.
I noticed it as late as you.
Although, I have other in game stuffs to work on (like ophelia's anal training & Bianca's creampie training), then spend time with the goblin queen at midnight (later invite her to the lake) to wrap up the day so an in game month past before I could tell.

Just wanted to say thanks for this, I came looking for an answer but seems like I'm stuffed, damn, but good to have the confirmation at least. If I'd had known I never would have touched it. Oh well.
Also, I've been thinking about this for a while now: Is there a good reason ALL weapon upgrades are not changeable/removable (the way gems are for example)? Regardless of realism, it would be a really nice feature to have. Oh well.
Why can't I have a party all of a sudden? Also why is my party order mixed up with MC being second or last? And wtf is that on my screen all the time? I don't think these bugs were in there previously at this point in the game.
As a side note, why do I have to steal soap when I should be able to make my own? Like, it's right there... animal fat... soap was known to be produced in monasteries...
Edit: It gets worse... restarting the game doesn't help, but some actions do.

stay hidden just let's you explore the mine more, you can attack, then come back 4 days later, atack her again, and you meet her at noon near the water. deep mine top left

reach affection 10 so you can gain her trust a bit, after this, you either go for affection 20 and she does it for you because she loves you or when you have Affection 10 go into her hut search for her comb, you can learn her spells too while you are there, then talk to the elf in your CAMP(forgot her name), and she will make the goblin queen to be your slave.
I kind of thought that Ugotha's starting affection being so low was a bit weird... Sure, the game has a LOT of grinding if you want to max out corruption through gameplay but usually the required affection/corruption stats don't take THIS long. Oh well, I grinded through it like the stubborn person I am anyway.
Thought it was kind of weird but I completed almost all content besides the ones in version 6.0.0.0a so I just skipped the days, still was quite tedious though.
