RPGM - Ren'Py - Completed - Alansya Chronicles: Fleeting Iris [Final] [Heaven Studios]

Among the positives:

1. A great amount of scenes and well designed for an indie title.
2. Free Roam is really good both situations and scenes
3. Many good and interesting routes such as the office, kinky, av (the only flaw too short) and the one in which ayame runs the bar that once belonged to melvin

Negatives:

1. Lack of gameplay to be an rpg title (basically you have to talk to the main characters to progress and that's it)
2. Some routes are pretty linear in the sense that you'll get stuck in it and can't get out
3. Some of them are quite mediocre, for example the one of Clarke, while others are quite slow to get going, for example the one of Sato and Melvin, and only in the final they become interesting.
4. Almost no animations (apart from some more recent ones regarding the free roam) for the scenes
5. Little interest in replaying it after completing it the first time

Ultimately if the gameplay had been more sophisticated and less linear or had been developed in renpy, and some routes a little better and all the scenes animated I would have definitely put the highest ratings

Quite impressed with this game, there's such good pacing & story here, and the amount of content in this game is impressive.

The art is good too, only thing missing is animation, but the art is sufficient enough.

No annoying grinding so far, just lots of story and character development.

Just a great game overall. So much content and love from the devs. What I love about this game is that it strikes the perfect balance between story and gameplay vs. sex scenes. It doesn't feel like the sex scenes are thrown at you but it also doesn't feel like I need to grind an eternity to get the next one.

I'm always a bit shocked that the ratings here are not better but I can understand why: the game was about 6 years in development and most of the negative reviews are old and don't reflect on the current game.

The screenshots shown here in this thread are also old and outdated. New CGIs are amazing and I think they would attract a much bigger audience than the old ones.

I am writing this review after playing like 4 hours . Not playing further. There are several problems with this game. The multiple spelling mistakes is not the most severe one. The Narrative has so many holes . I am not saying its a bad game. Its just too polished for such a badly structured game.

The main character doesn't feel real at all ( not like real "real" , even in porn sense it makes no sense) . Being naive is one thing , but being dumb beyond reason is another. She is resisting in one scene and then suddenly on other scene she is all horny. I don't get it .

I think in this kind of games you need immersion. If you break immersion too many times , then its no longer a good experience.

Also , I think they have not taken advantage of RPGM. Most game of this kind , use day night cycles and inventory effectively , also the quest menu . While this game has screwed in all three of these fronts. The interesting quests are no where to be found. Renpy would have been much better.

Also , the unnecessarily big map of game is not helping . As far as i played , There was no need for most of location in the game.

If this was the first RPGM game with this concept that I played . i would have completed it. But its clearly inferior as compared to competitors (or successors considering its a 2016 game)

No proofreading done at all, but I typed this out of frustration. Great potential ruined by many factors sadly.


The Review:
This game is a masterpeice when it comes to the routes that a player can play. Whatever fetish you are into I bet you will find it in this game. But here is the problem with stretching too thin is that you wil leave few (story routes in this case) lacking in all aspects if its the writing or art. Also with rpgm being the engine you will immediately notice the limitations that is set upon such project. But tbh till this day I am really not sure if this game would be better as VN or not.

What I Like:
1- Multiple Routes
2- Alot of CGs (depends on the route)
3- Writing picks up in some areas

What I hate:
1- Easy to fuck up in this game and start all over again as routes locks you in.
2- Hentai scenes pick up in some routes and really lacks in alot.
3- Some routes are just bad lmao, not sure why they are not just a side quest. If a route is consisted of 70% less events than others then why it has an ending?
4- Art could be alot better but I understand that it might be a problem from the beginning of the development and hard to fix later on.

Last Words:
Good game limited by game engine, market standards, early game design decisions ...etc but literally one of the best games out there. A must to try at least for one run. Imagine if it had more people working on it and better conditions? oh my lawd.

I will keep a closer look on their new games hopefully this is not a one shot project thing.

Look, I normally jump into these games with 1 purpose, which is to get the MC to bang anything that moves. But by golly this wasn't it. Never would I have thought I'd actually want to do the wholesome, pure love route in an HRPG game. The writing's great; I've emotionally gone from confusion to happiness to sadness to confusion again (think daytime soap opera but with 2000% more sex). Most characters are utter scumbags that you'd like to keep your heroine away from and the rest are decent human beings... that you can fuck as well.

The epitome of NTR games, a western one surprisingly enough. The sheer amount of content available to play through will keep you entertained for dozens of hours. The artwork is very good, and while there are a few things worthy of criticism such as some bugs (which are being fixed at the moment) and some aspects of the game to grind such as trying to get your first car. Overall it is excellent.

I personally enjoy playing Fleetin Iris, it has many possibilities such as route choiches and more. I think the story pretty decent for the most part, but might be better to add more into the vanilla route. There's many routes to choose from, vanilla to NTR if you're into that thing, overall it is a great experience from playing this game, i'd say 9/10.

Having played a lot of 3D games and getting tired of their blank, glassy-eyed expressions it was very refreshing to play this game. Very high quality artwork and lots of scenes and the characters are superb.
I thought I was playing the corrupted path but ended with the Hero ending. I think there is a lot more to see playing it again.
I know some people hate RPGM games but this one works very well. No real grind, you don't need to earn money for key items (you can buy stuff but it's not demanded for all paths) and instead of making you walk to all places again and again a lot of the time the game simply forwards through time to avoid that annoyance.
This company seems to have a lot of other games planned so worth keeping an eye on.

If someone got my save file, then they won't believe that I've played this game from noon until 10 PM. But despite that, this is a pretty good game. Not perfect, but pretty good. Since I almost strictly play NTR and corruption games, Fleeting Iris is basically right up my alley.

The game has many routes to choose from, and it gives enough freedom for the player to hop between them. Not to mention, the save user interface tells you which route is currently active. Also, the game gives you a warning if you stumble upon a no-where-but-going-forward route.

The drawings/graphics, BGM, map design, story, and dialogue are all top-notch. Unfortunately, I still encounter bugs and stuff. The game also doesn't have some kind of a 'review' that can be used by the players that have not played for a while to remind them about certain mechanics, but that's basically in the realm of nitpicking.

About free roam, I feel like the game doesn't let much freedom on that part. I mean, players will stumble upon free roam eventually, but it was so far in the game's progression that might as well not add it in the first place. To the game's credit, it does feel like it was built for a VN with RPG elements on it, like the player can move the main character and stuff, but is still a story-heavy game with routes like a VN. So I guess free roam is more like an additional spice for replayability. Well, that's just how I feel.

Overall, this is a pretty good game that deserves a 4-star rating from me. I will play it again so I can unlock all the scenes without using the cheat that the game provides, so my thoughts in the future might differ from what I have now. Until then, stay safe y'all.

I'm a sucker for NTR and corruption so this is my style of game. I spent a good amount of time trying to figure a route suited for my interests:

Pros:
- Art is excellent
- Many routes
- Virgin option

Cons:
There's an incredible flaw in this game: the total lack of control over some routes. You either stay a virgin rejecting the first 2 routes and finish the game in 30 minutes, or get to be the biggest whore ever. Come one DEV, you have to let some control to the player. I like corruption but I like my MC to stay pure a whole lot longer and come back to whore her later on a replay value.

Also, some routes gets so out of control, you can barely save the game, you just have to read or skip the text for so long before getting either an ending or to get out of the route as a total slut.

On the very few occasions the player has the chance to opt out of the route, he gets blocked and cannot progress in the game anymore.

This one is probably the best game i've played so far, simply excellent work.

Pros;

-MC is the cutest thing you'll ever see in this forum.
-The amount of routes are insane, you can do whatever you want to do and it never gets boring.
-Related to that, also the amount of scenes are insane too.
-The art, drawings, and dialogues are top notch.
-Almost zero grind, and even if you need to grind a bit, its always rewarding and worth your time.

Cons;

Honestly, i can't think of any right now. Even if you simply don't like rpgm and never enjoyed that engine so far, this one might be an exception for you (like it is for me).

Overall, i give 5 stars and i would give 10 if it was possible. %100 would recommend to everyone.

Pretty good game in some ways bad in others. The art and general idea of the game are pretty good but I cannot help but not enjoy the game, and I'm usually a sucker for NTR and corruption.

Simply put, the game is extremely linear and based on "routes". Meaning that you are presented a list of routes to pick from, you pick one, then you are locked out of 90% of the games content and forced down a linear path. Instead of presenting the player with an open world full of choices, you pick a path and are forced down it. On top of the fact there is so much unnecessary walking around and "filler content".

There is a lot of polish here, but the game should have just let the player make their own choices and experience all the content the game has to offer instead of putting it on rails.

Best western NTR game yet! There are so many paths that branches out through dialogue options and all of the CG are really hot. Keep in mind this game is aimed mainly towards NTR fans so if that's not your cup of tea, then stay away. The game developers are always updating the game monthly and are always delivering instead of milking their patreon supporters unlike other developers that I will not name here. They are also very actively engaging with players in bug-fixing and content suggestions. I highly recommend supporting them if you can after trying out the game! It's totally worth your money.

5* for the team: Let just go back a bit, this game started around the time of Sarah's life when Corruption trend began and that was 2 or 3 years ago, unlike those project dies soon after getting good amount of support(money) from community, we are still getting new content update.

4 - 4.5* for art: I am a bit picky about this, I found games like Yukino class prep and a few others on Dlsite better when it comes to human proportions, H-games tend to exaggerate(?) a few part(boobs, hips and butt) aside from that there are a few weird part in CG, but they are still decent enough.

5* for storyline: well it is an H-game and corruption game at that, I stopped playing about a year ago, by that time there were all kind of fetish and shitty situation: pervert boss, husband colleague, open-minded neighbor, scheming step-son, evil twin sister, and workplace colleague, it is combination of wildest dreams.

The only cons I had is there are too many ways and it would be hard to to go deep, hope the team and complete this ambitious project.

Overall a great game and probably one of the best NTR games.
The art is nice.

The Development and corruption is okay. Ayame doesn't just jump cheating for basically no reason like in many other NTR games but also the player isn't blueballed. It gets kinky quite fast. It would have been better if the partner would have a more present role to emphasize the NTR element but other games are usually worse at this aspect then alansya chronicles.

The amount of content is insane. Bad point is that some routes get extremely linear (especially family)

Total recommendation. Will be probably the first porn game I will actually buy on steam once it is available. This game also totally deserves to be supported on patreon.

I love the art and script, mostly to its cheating or NTR in the game , It has also a lot of content, usually I Don't like RPGM because it focus on fighting and stuff, but this focus on story and sex scenes.

I like freedom in games but not when it comes with a grindy gameplay. This game was never really on my list. I despise cartoonish characters so I never really considered playing this. The banner led me to this conclusion, which was a wrong one.

Ayame feels real to me. She can be a sweet innocent girl or a nymphomaniac. Both roles are written very good and I am pleased to say that this game is one of my favorites. Maybe even my favorite but it doesn't matter. A great game is a great game. And this one certainly is.

Full disclosure, this game branches significantly for certain big decisions, but otherwise it's almost entirely on 'rails'. So many times I thought to myself: Why is there a huge open world? Why am I wasting time running from spot A to B day after day when I'm just following a single scripted line of events? This game makes limited to no use of the RPGM engine, no battles, limited items, limited sense of exploration. This would have been a story better told in Ren'Py.

HOWEVER. There is a great story told here. It's a rare breed, a Western corruption plot from the female MC POV. The biggest strength of this game: the logical progression of the corruption narrative. There are some hiccups where I say "really, she did that?", but overall I can forgive because the female MC overall makes sensible decisions and the corruption comes along gradually and wonderfully. The writing is to the point and brief, and I say that as a good thing.

Good images to compliment the action as well.

Overall this is a great play. But again, just know that you'll have to spend a little additional time navigating the RPGM nature of it.. for no real benefit.

The best corruption game out there! The MC doesn't just turn into a turbo slut instantly which makes this game actually live up to the 'corruption' tag. Also has some of the best 2D art out of any game I've seen on this site.
