You don't buy cheats from him. You buy notes from him that help you with tests. The one who sells you actual cheats is Derek but he claims it's a "learning" thing. Even Maya calls him out for being a cheater MORE than once.
As I said, the key phrase was what the MC said "They had the answers to many questions and plenty more on top of that." while it may well have been designed for the MC's test, it had more so could quite easily be designed for another test.
I did and I never read anything about Magnar selling cheats in any moment of the game.
Again, why would you design a cheat sheet that had answers for a test you were not taking? That does not make any fricking sense.
Those are cheats. Look at english when you use the cheat it gives you some the words. That is cheating. You are the one collecting the notes for Magnar and then he sells you the cheats. That is made clear right in EP1 in the library. Go to any educational institution and if they catch you it will be for cheating. They won't call it notes.
Well the thing is you wouldn't actually know what is going to be on the exam when making a cheat sheet, so generally you'd put whatever you think is important... which in the case of the Cheater being in the MCs class is why it had more than was needed. Or in the case of the Cheater being in another class had things that could be applied to the MCs test.
The one that rises the cheating points is Derek not Magnar.

According to mini game mechanics Derek's cheats are cheats, but according to game lore Derek provides mnemonics and those in laterine looked like answer sheets. i chose the fighting tournament, just because MC had already performed music previously on Ep 8, so i thought might as well do something new. not to mention with how much time we've spent on the brawler game, the fighting tournament seems like the right moment to finally show the effort of MC's training.
tho i'm slightly inclined to do the music performance too, just because i think it'll fit better with the whole MC being a rockstar. him networking and getting to know the right people, who knows what could happen? and we might have the chance to see tybalt bomb his cello performance

Performance is more in line with MGs or even Zoey heck even Jade, whereas For Lily, Quinn, Riona it has to be Tournament.
