A lot has happened since the last dev log - though not all of it was development-related
At the start of the week, my uncle passed away unexpectedly (53 years old). He wasn’t sick or anything - he just went to bed and never woke up. It’s been tough, and my mood hasn’t been great, but I’ve been trying to stay occupied with development. Tomorrow is the funeral
On top of that, I’ve been dealing with a brutal toothache for the past three days. It’s worst at night, which hasn’t exactly helped my sleep. My next doctor’s appointment isn’t for another two weeks, but I’m hoping it clears up on its own before then

Now, onto development
Last weekend, I fully rendered the flashback scene, and the final count came in at 457 images - way more than the previous version (121). I’m really happy with how it turned out

Right now, I’m focused on finishing up the final scenes. I’ve already completed and rendered the scene with Olivia and Lily (check out some previews below). There’s a second part to that scene that I’m starting today, and I’m hoping to have it fully rendered by the weekend
In total, I still have about 13 scenes left to go - some big, some small - but overall, things are moving along well. I’ve also been juggling post-work, coding, writing, and testing
As for the release, I’m still aiming for this month, but with some big games coming out (like BaDIK), I might push it to next month. I try to avoid release around major releases since it’s just not worth it. We’ll see how things go
It’s still a little early to say for sure, but the final render count for Chapter 2 should land somewhere between 2,500 and 2,600 - nearly triple the old Chapter 2 (881). That number feels crazy to me, but I’m excited about how much the project has grown

For real? What a shit thing to do. He's basically punishing his supporters who have been waiting many months and it's going to cost them another month's subscription price. But he has a great excuse right.. because another game is releasing..

What a pointless waste of money and RAM that isn't required for a rendering PC....half of that crap is not required at all...

Great game and very talented developer. I can't wait for the second chapter, good thing it should come in a month or two. I liked the characters from the first version, but now they have become even better, both visually and in terms of the plot, it shows that Dream spent a lot of effort to give them more personality, and make them feel more alive. Well done.
I'm glad Dream has finally started upgrading his hardware. I'm still amazed at how he can produce such beautiful images with the limited resources he has now. While I wouldn't say the configuration he's planning is anything out of the ordinary, it's pretty average by today's needs for a multipurpose PC for 3d development, a workhorse without any special frills. Ideally, he'd need at least two of these PCs, one for rendering and one for development, but he's working with what he's got. Even the graphics card is on hold for now, and that's probably half the stated price, if not more. But it's enough for now to release the second chapter and continue working on the game.

I honestly don't understand why the game needed to be reworked. The first two chapters before the rework were well done and even the girls before the rework had, in my opinion, more realistic models. By this time we could have already expected chapter 4 but instead we are waiting for chapter 2.
