For crashes and crashes, the only way to help is to upload the LOG file "traceback". Otherwise, no one can guess what the problem is with you.

Make sure you have the latest patch installed, the first release of the latest updated was quite buggy indeed.
As was already stated in the previous post, post your tracelog using the spoiler function.
Only then there is a chance someone can help / fix the problem.

Eric is an important part of this game, why the fuck you guys want to remove it?
Eric is an ENEMY, it keeps you focused on beating someone while adding VALUE to the rest of the characters.
As some enemies are interesting and you can empathise with them (Sephirot, SHIN, even Seymour), others are fucking disgusting and you better finish them off for good (Yup, Eric is one of these), they even push the MC to do quite a few things he wouldn't do without him.
If you ask me, Eric is a meh built character because it triggers some emotions on Max (and therefore, the players) and gives him a goal but he doesn't fucking do shit that's interesting, but still so necessary to keep the game interesting.

As it looks, most people enjoyed the story of the original game a lot more once he was gone.
I don't want to remove him from the current build, I just want an option to get rid for him asap, so the rest of the story can continue.
Who wants to go the friends route, can keep him around as long as he wants. I don't mind.
Rest of story is 1/2 good 1/2 bad , we know what happens up until olivia mom and 4th porn movie . Eric being in game adds new events and challanges , friendship path can even bring new stuff

Actually I don't know what THIS dev intends to do with the rest of the story. Sure, so far he mostly stuck to the original, but there have been changes already: You mentioned Olivia, her story is different for example. Also Alice's route has been changed, now that she remembers what happens on te couch. And we already know of at least one new character to appear (soon?).
To be honest I hope for something else than the movie storyline. After Eric, Ann is the most dumb and uninspired character in the game and her being in the center of that story was just ... meh

Yeah, just having some fun. I don't care about Eric one way or the other. Eric is less of a challenge, then swatting a fly. Being friends with Eric will end badly, no matter what you do. When the time comes you will get rid of Eric or your game will end.
Ether way it will have no bearing on my game. Have fun, no matter how you play.
I really hate Eric, but that's what makes this game fun.

at first i did hate ERic, but now the only issue i have with him (especially after realizing Max/the MC is just as bad or worse in some aspects) was how the original dev unbalanced the two options/routes you could take with him to the point where to me at least it felt like they were forcing the friendship/sharing path on us by making the war path so much harder

I don't need Eric and I only need Max so I can keep playing. Why is it no one talks about Lisa, Alice, Ann, or Kira, all I hear about is Eric. Can't someone make a game, just for Eric lovers with only Eric in it. You know Eric MC, Eric love interest, Eric friend, Eric, enemy, and two or three more Eric for good measure. Then throw a lot of NTR in the mix, and you have a million $ game...Right.

That is especially true if you're not cheating, are unaware of the wallet event, and how it works/go through it.
I mean, that event needs several things to happen, but, they're not going to trigger unless you do x and x and x, and be "there at the right time" and what not, which will lead to you loosing, without knowing how to actually make it through, and a rollback that is entirely useless as it'll only give you a tiny timeframe to correct something that can not be corrected in such a short time.
If you add the balcony confrontation event, you'll feel even worse, as no matter what you do/choose (unless you're on the friendship path and keep your demand "reasonable"), will end badly/feel useless.
As for nobody talking about the "ladies"... There are no ladies in this game, only cumdumpsters, either yours, or Eric, but they'll all become cumdumps eventually (well, if the game gets finished one day that is
