This is actually a brilliant idea for a reality show irl. And it could be kinda cheap to make too since it can be fully staged on earth.. like the moon landing. They can also fire up ppl in the vacuum space when they get voted out for more drama.

I'm sure the dev has a plan, it would make something more understandable.
