VN - Ren'Py - Blood of the Dragon [v0.2.1] [Twin Axe Games]

Story seem to be pretty decent but still to early to really know, its about MC becoming a dragon lord which would give him the rights to the kingdom which the queen arent all that happy about but not sure how that will work out either, since theres just not enough content yet.

One of the "plots" if we can call it that, is a very overused plot where MC gains power from fucking girls, it has just been seen to many times in AVNs, but atleast in this one it does seem to be choice driven so you can turn down girls and form your own selected harem which is very nice.

The girls is where i have the biggest issue atleast for now, they are all pretty much bimbos and im just not into big tits in any way, so the lack of diversity in builds hurts the game quite alot, i saw 2 girls in the throne room where one was at most an a-cup and another maybe a b-cup but they are proberly not LIs in any way, many not even side girls so there really isent much for the smol lovers.

Looking at the image on the front page it looks like theres some diversity in builds, but even the sister (2nd girl in the image) looks somewhat small on there but when she takes he clothes off shes atleast a D-cup which is even more idiotic since image shows her more like a B-cup......so another big failure and its clear to see what fetish the devs are into.

Animations are below average and thats due to not having any animated sex scenes yet, there are an animated handjob and blowjob but the fucking is not animated which is a huge failure in a game thats supposed to be animated, but again it can change once more content comes around but for now its a failure.

Choices seems to work but you do need to be extremly fast in picking girls for your harem, since from the very start it tells you if you dont show interrest in someone from the very first time you meet and talk with someone, might result in never getting a chance with her again, this is also pretty poor and a stupid way of doing it since you arent allowed to get to know them first and i dont really want to reload to change choices made ealiere in the game if i find out i dont like them.

Right now i cant give this more then 2 since theres just to many issues which the story alone cant make up for, does it have potential, yes it does if it gets a better diversty in builds meaning small tits not just big ones and animated sex scenes not just BJs, ill try to check this out again once it has alot more content so proberly in a year or two from now by the looks of it.

How it has gotten so many 5 star reviews for the state its in now feels a bit fishy but atleast here you have an honest review.

Will leave 5* for now. Its early in development, but has a good set up to be great. Caveat, is the characters like the MC a little too much, and a little too early. Good one to follow, decent amount of content relative to how long its been out

Pretty damn good.

The character renders are beautiful, unique and not standard Daz crap, which is a promising sign. Animations are scarce (there's like only two atm?) but decently done and only something like Seven Realms beats it in terms of Daz games. Apparently the dev has recently switched to Blender which would explain a lot.

Writing is somewhere between mediocre and decent. At least it's better than the vast majority of complete dogshit on the site. The two earliest introduced LIs take up a lot of screentime despite being incredibly boring, but later characters have better depictions.

The whole story is your generic chosen one drivel but it works very well for a power fantasy setting so no complaints there. Even the magical dick is in-universe justified, lul.

For now I'm cautiously optimistic about the game's future.

Not bad, backstory is good, visuals are good and sex scenes are decent though lacking in animation.

However a feel some characters who could be in your harem are being made to easily available. For instance the mother (step) basically goes for you straight away while knowing the roommate (daughter) is already deeply into you. there is no moral quandary or hesitation on her part.
If all the girls are going to be this easy, the game is going to get boring fast.

Holy hell, this is a good one. Definitely worth an early review even though it's relatively short.

Artwork/Animations - 5/5

The renders are beautiful and the ladies are lovely. So far there are some good scenes, and they are very well done. Easy 5/5.

Story/Dialogue - 5/5

Simple story so far, but not corny. That being said, I foresee some good plot twists down the line. Very curious to see where the dev takes us on this adventure! Also, dialogue is so well done. Dev seems to take spelling errors, grammar errors and such seriously, and the game just reads very well. Huge plus for me.

Gameplay/UI - There's a combat system! And it's actually fun! The fights early on aren't difficult, but the dev has hinted that they'll get more challenging. And choices do matter, so pay attention!

I do have feedback for the dev: I know there's an autobattle feature. I think maybe some bonus content or reward scenes should maybe be added for players that do manual combat, kind of as incentive to utilize the combat mechanics the that has been worked on so hard.

All-in-all, great start! Hoping this one lasts and gets constant updates. Hate seeing good games die/get abandoned.

This game (as of v0.2.0) shows a lot of promise. While the initial pacing feels a bit too quick and first two LI's relationships could be explored deeper, the writing is good, the visuals are gorgeous (especially when MC interacts with magical glyph of runes on the Tower), and the animations are great; nothing to nitpick, other than i wanted more of it.

And uhh, i love that devs add a good amount of kissing renders during romantic interactions, there can't never be too much of lovey-dovey LIs.

Great game so far! Looking forward to see how the story and characters develop. Nice to have a MC that more like a movie lead that not ugly or just not seen. All characters are very appealing so far and have a good start on interesting individual backgrounds! Graphics are really well done as well.

I'm rarely this early to a game, but the visuals, premise and high praise drew me in. Although quite short, it's a fantastic start with tons of potential. The combat is simple but fun. Stunning visuals and character designs so far, and I'm invested in the story and eager to see where it leads.

It's an exciting game that has a lot of potential. I feel that the beginning is a little rushed and relationships could have been explored a bit more but everyone has a preference. Other than that well written, with beautiful renders and great animations. Looking forward to to playing this game in the future.

The first thing that caught my eye in "Blood of the Dragon" were the graphics, which are indeed really good. The visual quality adds a lot to the overall experience. The sex scenes are very sexy, though unfortunately not everything is animated. The scenes that are animated, however, are done extremely well.

The dialogue in the game is written quite well, with a nice combination of narration, conversation, and thoughts. It helps in keeping the player engaged and adds depth to the storyline.

The storyline in and of itself seems quite interesting. Not everything is already given at the beginning. U are really joining the MC on a journey, where the MC also does not know a lot. Its very fitting because the MC is a small village boy with little knowledge of the outside world. So right now, its still a mistery but its a very promising start. The pace of the storyline is also nice.

I'm unsure about the fighting mechanics in the game though. It seems like just attacking is the only thing that really works, making the combat feel simple and somewhat boring. A more complex system would enhance the gameplay experience or just leave it out.

As for character development, it's promising. Even though this is the first release, you get a good introduction to the characters and the MC. There's potential for deep character arcs as the game progresses.

Conclusion
Overall, "Blood of the Dragon" has a very promising start. The impressive graphics and well-written dialogue stand out, although the fighting mechanics could use more complexity. Despite being the first release, the character development shows potential. This game is definitely worth giving a try,!

Wow I'm really enjoying Blood of the Dragon! The story has me hooked, especially because the characters are so interesting. almira definitely a standout – She's is too gorgeous to be a prostitute.

The visuals are also impressive. The character models are beautiful, and the environments are well-designed. The animation is too shot but Overall is fine.

Overall, this is a fantastic game! It easily gets a 10 out of 10 from me. The characters are engaging, the story is interesting, and the visuals are top-notch. Definitely worth checking out!

Pros:
+ Very interesting setting, I like this universe in general. Somehow it gives me very strong "Conan the Barbarian" vibes (R. Hovard). Probably cause I reread his novels recently, this and "brothel" thing. I mean in Conan's universe there are only 2 things for entertainment - prostitutes & vine))).
+ Stats & battle mechanics (I am a fan of RPG).
+ Beautiful girls
+ Different races for romancing (elfs, orcs, etc even fae)
+ Good writing/dialogues - pretty enjoyable to read.

Cons:
- probably LIs will be turned into BI, which:
a) breaks immersion for me
b) I am not into lesbian stuff in general.


I enjoyed playing the game. Not very much of content so far but it's very promising.
Also I hope LIs won't be forced on us, as if, for example, for some reason I am not into particular girl or race - she won't be forced on me, romantically at least. I am totally fine with a girl being in a game in general.

Great Story and originality potential. Great Animations. Great Renders. I would highly recommend follows and likes. Good stats & combat system. The Harem system is a definite plus in this. I would recommend a good i-patch or custom relationship system.

Review for v0.1.0

I agree with a lot of the other reviewers on this. There's room for improvement as with most early versions of new games, but this is a pretty solid taste of a very promising fantasy AVN. The overview kind of spoils it a bit honestly as not everything described is even present within this version, but thankfully I didn't read it before going in anyway.

As far as the VN part of the game goes, I don't have many complaints. I think this first version has served as a great introduction to the game. We learn a bit about the MC, get a taste for the writing, meet some of the love interests, etc etc. It feels competent, looks nice, has good sound design, and has kept me invested with the darker turn the game takes around the end of current content. Even the sex scene and more intimate moments had a nice amount of care going into them.

My one real nitpick is that I felt there were some scenes that could have used even a few more renders to really hit more. For example, there's a moment where the game describes Mary Beth looking into your eyes before she kisses you. It would have been great to get like a zoom in on her face before she goes in for the kiss, but render wise she kind of just comes in out of nowhere with it.

The other part of the game is its RPG elements. For one, there's turn based combat. I don't mind it, but currently it's so easy that you could get through all the fights with your eyes closed. They are also all linear in that they (so far) aren't optional and you have to restart if you lose. You also have stats tied to it that increase from winning fights and having sex for some reason. The few choices you can make are mostly just avoiding girls, but I did wonder if I'd be handicapping myself by not sleeping with the prostitute for stat increases.

I don't know how much this game wants to lean into being an RPG, but right now none of those elements feel particularly impactful maybe is the word? I don't think they are harming the game, but I feel way more could be done with it if that is indeed the route the devs want to take the game.

All in all though, this did what a good intro/first version should do: getting me hooked and wanting to come back in the future. I actually enjoyed this a lot despite how short it currently is and I'm looking forward to being able to really sink my teeth into it down the line.

The first release was excellent, it was very easy to get immersed into the story. So far all the female characters have been beautiful, and the renders are very high quality. The animations have also been done very well. The setting seems interesting, and the combat mechanics are pretty enjoyable as well. I am looking forward to more!
