That would be real sweet, having a person who's modded a particular game before as mentor or guide is something I didn't have with Fallout, so it took me months to get a working setup going. I really may try my hand at Skyrim soon if I have that kinda support. So I may come back at you when I really go for it. Thanks.

And I don't really care if LE or AE/SE, I need to start somewhere, right? Once I get the hang of it again, I may switch, see what the differences really are. But before that, but I need to completely re-learn XEdit/Gamebryo modding after an almost 3-year long hiatus.
But come to think of it, what mod manager you use? Please say MO2, not Vortex...I'm MO2 for life, Vortex's mod sorting mechanic is like this big, strange tentacle monster that messes with my load order at every step.

And for now, BotN still has me captivated anyway. Still trying to breed Pride's uber-demonette, and some tiny bees & giant ork ladies for my own pleasure :D And I actually got a working, complete version of Subverse still to check out, took only 6 hours to download with my snail internet connection:mad:. Only played an hour and a half or so yesterday, seems pretty cool, just not sure if it's worth the almost 70gig it takes up on my drive - especially compared to a working, kinked-out & hoochyfied Skyrim setup:p.
Actually for Skyrim I used the old Nexus Mod Manager lol. I thought on switching to Vortex since is basically NMM 2.0 but that would require me to basically reinstall things all over again and for that I'll rather do it on SE instead. Never used Mod Organizer so no idea how to operate on that D:

For the other games I do use Vortex, tho I half install them through Vortex, half manually, depending on the mod. One thing that helped me a lot were the extra tools of modding like Loot to set the load order correctly (mind you that some would still require you to manually set them in a specific position like SkyFem that requires is ESP to be the last loaded). For starters I'll say download the game and install it 100% fresh, without any mods, configs, anything. Preferibly on a specific separate folder so you are sure that the game is truly vanilla. And from there.... It really depends how crazy you wanna go with modding. I consider myself kinda crazy on that aspect, yet I see some people's Skyrim builds and they overhauled literally EVERYTHING like shadings and stuff and I'm yet to dive into those XD

But yeah, I get what you mean. My build in LE was one I had to make from scratch pretty much, having to reinstall the game a bunch of times until I got to the point I am so.... The first attempts at modding without a guide can be tricky and even with a guide, depending on the game and the things you wanna change it can be tricky x_x

About BotN.... Frankly is one of those games that I used to love in the past but it's gradually annoying me to the point of killing my drive to play it, even if the additions of the most recent updates have made it a lot more attractive to play than before. Is like.... There's about 10 pros but about 100 cons and at some point you just start loosing interest. Specially when you realize that with modded Skyrim you can get a similar experience with a ton more options than having a prebaked one that in one specific aspect or maybe two/three might be superior but on the everything else falls astronomically flat :/

this game has a lot of potential, but only if the dev allow to create mods.
You do know that any such mod would probably have to be updated with every new build to stay functional, given how the dev even flags save files from older versions to not function on new ones, right?

Or likewise, that any such mods would also need to be patched backwards for every older version of the game, for those who wanna stick with tried and tested builds that work for them?

And given all that, what mod author in their right mind do you think is gonna put up with how dev handles game updates? It doesn't even have a clear roadmap, after 8! years of development  Any self-respecting mod author will move on to other, more promising games -that may actually see the light of day, unlike BotN- after 2, maybe 3 build versions at the most, and potentially good mods will likely be left abandoned.

But that's a non-issue anyway. Iffen you read a few more pages on this thread, you'd have learned that the dev is rather "protective" of his stuff, to put it politely. So ain't bloody likely there'll be any dev-side effort to "share the secret sauce" to support third-party modding for BotN anytime soon - if ever .

And while you can't mod it, you can freely access cheats and customize ALL generic, not story-related NPCs to your heart's content - actually a lot more than lots of so-called "AAA"-titles allow in that regard. Got about 3 dozen own custom variants now and still lotsa neph species untouched, but even at this half-done stage many spawing grounds look nothing like vanilla anymore.
Just takes lotsa time & nerve to go through ALL presets and purge/change whatever you don't like and make it appealing  , but you can make this game bend to your fancy. Iffen you spend some hours in the variant editor before you dive into it for real, that is.

Do they update the Steam version too? Cause it looks like they haven't touched that one since Feb 12th of last year.

EDIT: Nevermind I checked the previous page, doesn't look like it. That's unfortunate.

wait i still dont understand how to use cheat is anyone can help me
How do you use cheats in the newest build?
You need a key for and then insert the code , then intro, in case you havent configure or you ignore what key is, go to settings and pick keyblindings, other way without insert codes is with a ``?´´ icon, but still you need set a key for use the cheats

without typing commands: Click the icon > ? located at the bottom left.
: Settings > Key Bindings > Console then click and pick the key you want.
Enable Console: Settings > Key Bindings > Console then click and pick the key you want.

In case you have more doubts check this i explain and i added all the cheats that are currently working

breedersofthenephelym.miraheze.org/wiki/Celeste
that will be deleted prob when dev or admins notice it, i had her added time ago and was deleted from database and then i got a message with
``Do not add information on the Wiki in relation to backer version. Only add public versions´´

I were thinking about we should have a own database here lol, dev take years for barely add a shit, but dont lost time for remove that lmao, lets see how much time will be this time. I think i will do one by myself here ><
