this game has a lot of potential, but only if the dev allow to create mods.
I mean this game is 8 years old, and only 5 or 6 hairstyles same for sexual positions.
Same for savegames, i have to play almost an hour or 2 using cheats to get the game in the same point it used to be before the update.
You do know that any such mod would probably have to be updated with every new build to stay functional, given how the dev even flags save files from older versions to not function on new ones, right?

Or likewise, that any such mods would also need to be patched backwards for every older version of the game, for those who wanna stick with tried and tested builds that work for them?

And given all that, what mod author in their right mind do you think is gonna put up with how dev handles game updates? It doesn't even have a clear roadmap, after 8! years of development  Any self-respecting mod author will move on to other, more promising games -that may actually see the light of day, unlike BotN- after 2, maybe 3 build versions at the most, and potentially good mods will likely be left abandoned.

But that's a non-issue anyway. Iffen you read a few more pages on this thread, you'd have learned that the dev is rather "protective" of his stuff, to put it politely. So ain't bloody likely there'll be any dev-side effort to "share the secret sauce" to support third-party modding for BotN anytime soon - if ever .

And while you can't mod it, you can freely access cheats and customize ALL generic, not story-related NPCs to your heart's content - actually a lot more than lots of so-called "AAA"-titles allow in that regard. Got about 3 dozen own custom variants now and still lotsa neph species untouched, but even at this half-done stage many spawing grounds look nothing like vanilla anymore.
Just takes lotsa time & nerve to go through ALL presets and purge/change whatever you don't like and make it appealing  , but you can make this game bend to your fancy. Iffen you spend some hours in the variant editor before you dive into it for real, that is.
...y'all know this game has mods, right? Multiple that were made pre-0.760 and still work on current versions
Cuz it don't sound like y'all do *shrug*

Nope I did not  and tried a bunch of different keywords for my searches. Unless your talking steam workshop, then I'm shit outta luck. Can't access that (or any steam NSFW content) from where I live. So could you please post a link to them mods, give me a pointer what site to peruse...that would be just dandy !

This game having mods? Now that's something I haven't heard before. The closest I could think of is custom neph preset packs but that's about it....

I thought on switching to Vortex since is basically NMM 2.0 but that would require me to basically reinstall things all over again and for that I'll rather do it on SE instead. Never used Mod Organizer so no idea how to operate on that D:
In my case, switching from NMM, I found Mod Organizer 2 alot easier than Vortex. It might look difficult but installing mods is quite easy on it, it also creates virtual folders so you dont have to worry about your game files getting corrupted like with Vortex or NMM.

Hey lads, sorry if it was asked before. Any way to change the furry bits, hands and feet specifically to human lookin ones in the variant editor? I've been looking but haven't been able to find any options to do so.

About mods ...

I remember searched and results were 0 always xd, well i remember found something for earlier builds from ``wemod´´ for sample, but isnt anymore, btw was basically similar thing than BotNTools, so yeah more closer are make presets for nephs and breeder or the BotNTools for edit things like add traits to the breeder

So tbh for me that arent mods, edit presets with a tool is inside game, not a mod and add traits is more like a cheat i guess.

I remember ppl were searching mod for add balls to futas ><, but havent sense really make a mod for a game that is in a eternal WIP  :ROFLMAO:
