I gather the issue was: I was using the 1.10 version and attempting to patch it to 1.21 --rather than using v 1.21 and adding the patch to it.
I got the same problem as you rn but I have downloaded the 1.21 patch and 1.21 version. Maybe its just a mistake from the compressed version of the game?
