HELP...I need somebody...( no, not copying Beatles song)...ran into an issue where I was supposedly able to hire Yuna and Leonardo to positions. Did the cut scene where they came into office and all....then POOF nothing..no Yuna in the office even though MC said position was open. Could the problem be that I promoted Yua to Credit VP after that??? Not sure what the deal is. Hoping Dev or another player can explain where I screwed the pooch here.

The dev can stop at any time true. But you know what a not finished game is called? Abandoned. So is the game finished or not? Because you make it sound like it isn't.
No, it's not complete.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, it's marked as "Completed" because the dev got tired of the leaks and took things in this thread personally, so he marked it as "Completed" and wanted nothing to do with the thread anymore. I think this was mentioned about a dozen or so pages back.

It should be marked as abandoned then. exactly same thing happened with A Date With Bridgette and it got the abandoned tag.

Actually, it's a moral argument. I'm not against real porn games, in fact I like and support them. However, you're trying to make money from it by force. You're threatening that if you play for free, this happen and that happen.

You're making so much money why don't you go and use art/design characters. Sorry man, you're greedy.
Damn, so this is how people like this keep making money.

The person that made it a moral argument was the dev. The person I posed the question to was... you guessed it. Did not realize they had a personal assistant in the thread.

Legitimately tried to come in here and cry about how hard it was for them to continue working on a project with "borrowed" media because people weren't paying enough and then suggested that if it continued, they would take their ball and go home.

World's smallest fucking violin isn't small enough.
So you're going to go to his house and make him work on it at gun point or what? The money is the incentive we have to try to make him work on it, saying he has to work on it without pay is called slavery. If you want to encourage more effort try to make the pay a worthwhile wage. Refusing to pay and then crying when no workers show up to your factory is the most hilarious stupidity.

Your analogy sucks. Don't do those anymore. Moving on.

I haven't played a version of this dime-a-dozen game since the very first appearance on this site. I don't actually give a shit about how the dev acquired their media. That was never the point of my question to the dev. I have never once knocked another person's hustle, but I do call out bullshit when I see it.

I have zero respect for this. To assume that I'm the type of person that doesn't believe others should benefit from hard work is nonsense and lazy thinking. Did you ever see me in the "Ravager" thread talking about that team protecting their game? Nope. Why? Because that's a project made entirely from scratch by a group of people that pay to have content exclusively made for their game. They pay their artists and their voice actors.

What's actually happening in this case is a dev benefiting from the hard work of others, not compensating them and then crying foul when they feel they're not being compensated enough for benefiting from the hard work of others.

Let's break down the dev's bullet points and then you can go crawl back under the desk, sweetheart.

"Later, I switched to a hybrid model of an online version paired with a privately distributed offline version, which has taken a toll on the progress of game development."

Here we have the pirate dev blaming piracy for the delay in development of this game. You know what would make development of this game faster? Not starting an entirely different game. Personal responsibility goes a long way. In fact, if I remember correctly the excuse for the lack of development of this game was immediately said, BY THE DEV, to be the fact that this game was essentially a prototype for the second one.

"Due to the current leak of this version, I will need to implement a better security mechanism and have decided to publish the game online only until the issue is resolved."

Again, this game's development was already delayed by the development of the dev's second game. This is an excuse and a common milking tactic. It's meant to wring out tears and dollars from idiots. Or do you believe that it's okay for the dev to paywall stolent content while trying to morally browbeat people who, in turn, steal their content? Is that the hill you're going to die on? The dev would be in much more financial distress if they, legally, acted in the same way they pretend to expect players of their game to act.

Also, understand that making the game accessible solely through an online version makes it easier for the dev to take the money and run whenever their feelings are hurt enough. It also makes it much less secure for the end-user. Wait until the excuse that they couldn't pay server fees to keep the game going comes up.

"I include information intended only for the designated recipient, and each build is unique to its intended user."

Milking tactic.

"Leaks delay development progress, as I must spend more time protecting the game rather than developing it."

Redundant garbage. Already addressed.

"It adversely affects the quality of development."

Cookie cutter coding isn't difficult development. The hard work on this game and the other is already done by the porn studios and actors. The only thing adversely affecting quality is milking two games at once.

"Future development may be abandoned. Even though you might receive one or two versions in advance, the leaks can demotivate us to the point of potentially abandoning the project."

No one actually cares. No one that's not a gullible fool at any rate. This isn't some type of revolutionary game that won't be replaced. This is an empty threat. Milking tactic.

You may resume slurping, princess.

All i see here is a little crybaby complayning about his 2lines of text & stollen artwork on a pirate website...
Come one, either you are retarded or living sheltered to don't know that life is hard & unfair, or that as soon you post something in internet it's not your anymore no matter all the copyright & safe walls you are putting on it.
All it take is 1 subcripter to leak it here or in any other pirates websites, & it will maybe hit you hard but there is nothing you can do about it... it's the same with passwords, none are safe, all it take is time, but in the end all will be cracked one day.
The Dev is putting bullets in his feets himself on his own free will.
