Did you notice that Dreamland has some scenes with zoom effects, others with parallax, and even some with animated parts, like Summer’s legs at the beginning of the game? To achieve this, the developer created multiple layers for each scene and used programming to animate and move them. This puts a heavy load on the Ren'Py engine, both in terms of processing and memory usage. The game you mentioned, on the other hand, uses only static images and frame-by-frame animations, which is much lighter and generally more suitable for projects made with Ren'Py.

i have 0 grade average in anything related to electronics and the how of their functions. that's why i asked. most likely other people like me might have come to the same conclusion.
i know how to use, just not why it works. anyway, thank you for the explanation. and this is all so stupid after having to get board and ram upgraded for win 11.

Just played this for the first time, hooked already and enjoyed it so far. Other than the silly bit at end where they find mei at the house. Mei planned the whole trip for them including accomodation, so why is she so shocked and surprised when they show up at the house???
