It's because a kinetic novel has no gameplay, whereas this game includes different mini-games throughout its chapters and updates. That means that even though it doesn't have player choices, it still includes gameplay elements, which takes it out of the kinetic novel category

I better be able to save and continue after this animecon...otherwise you shutting the game down on me just cost me 3 hours of gameplay! I dont even know why it triggered. I was supposedly still a week away. Elaine had just finished trying to get Morgane to admit fucking the guy after the concert.
Edit: I can continue, but the entire job section is reset. So i've got to play 3 hours over again...awesome work dev...really great.
Edit2: I should point out that until that I was having a great time, the game is quite goo, but replaying 3 hours...thats a big deal.
Edit3: Yep, caught back up got it all saved and it ends right after Morgane tells you the convention is in a week. You should really put in a patch that lets you roll back to before that conversation and save. Or add an autosave every time you set your schedule. That's fuckin stupid.

you should really have Aval record some of the angry sex. taking it out on the slut afterwards is important. you should have him send a video of the day she got home from the concert to elaine
Such a long wait for such a nothingburger of an update. Took like 20 mins to play through and didn't meaningfully progress the story in any way.
