Some devs make it possible to avoid submission by adding extra bland "normal" routes with next to no sexual content. This may seem pointless but it doesn't require a lot of effort from the dev, and I think knowing that there was a real alternative and our character is responsible for ending up where he did can make the player experience feel better. This approach has downsides too, as sometimes you can make the "right" choices as a player, lock yourself out of an interesting route because of this, and then you have to go back and force yourself to purposely make bad decisions just to be able to continue. This feels bad.
There are also devs who promise to add alpha male route some day but those tend to never finish their games, including the started sub routes. Promises like that are a big red flag to me.
What I think works best is having two or three main routes and making the player follow one of them if they fail to get on one on their own. I mean something like this: you can make choices that will put you on Charlotte, Sophie or Mrs Meyer route and if you don't get on any of them on your own something outside of your control will happen and you'll be put on Mrs Meyer's route. "Something outside of your control" can be just bad luck or a result of someone's intrigue e.g. Mrs Meyer's car gets destroyed and we're forced to accept enslavement because we can't afford to pay for the repair. This method guarantees the player will get their femdom content in their femdom game regardless of their chosen path without making the whole thing feel like a linear clickfest.
