Plenty of guys do end up making such assumptions. And then go around intraweb forums complaining how there's no good women who'd appreciate them, etc. As such, women forming similar prejudices about men, based on their experiences, isn't something odd. Not in the real world though. I'm kind of on hiatus now after a rough breakup but I've always been nice IRL and I've never had a problem attracting women.
