Absolute true, but here, the game version is 0.02 and the only post that you (or someone) is sharing, the only stuff that is here is ad, you could at leat put the last "non patreon" version here, if people want the last one, they will join.
I only share screenshots. I don't share the builds. Because I spend several hours everyday writing, organizing, and promoting the game. This is something I've wanted to make for a while and I'm very passionate about. The only reason I'm here is to hopefully convince someone that has downloaded these builds for free to come over to the Patreon and help support the project. The demo and any leaked builds should be a good indication as to whether or not someone wants to support this project or not. That's another purpose for the screenshots, to show that we are actively developing the game. If everything that has been provided so far is not enough for a person, I honestly don't see how putting out the most recent build would change that person's mind. I understand that not everyone can give money to everything they like but I'm a firm believer in supporting stuff I like as much as I can.
Yeah, but we've only got one or two leaked builds. Coming to a pirating site to advertise while playing keepaway (or at least it appears you're playing keepaway). We've got like, 3 h-scenes and a nude sprite. You're advertising here, tormenting people to get them to spend money, on a pirating site. It leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Including mine. It seems a bit scummy. It's been AGES since we've got a build, public or otherwise... Is there even a public build?
I understand there's a certain rudeness and irony to badmouthing a dev for not sharing with pirates, but it's also rude, if not inhumanely cruel to dangle food in front of a hungry man's face.

And don't forget that there is a lot of devs here, that put the last or current build here to us, and a lot of people here pledge they for this. Like i said, the game have a realy nice art, i realy like, but only ad here and not giving peolea a "bone" is bad business.
I don't know if it'd be considered keepaway if I never give out builds that are only available on Patreon.

The stuff I post here I post on other places, including the Sexyverse Comics website, Newgrounds, Pixiv, Twitter, and Gamejolt. I don't play favorites and I treat every platform the same. I'm not here to torment people, I'm here to share news and previews like I do anywhere else. I answer questions and I try to be as neutral or positive as possible.

Yeah, but you dont get, if you get in good people side, you not only will get patreons, but you will get free ad from people that follow, just search in the lasted updates, there is a lot of "fans" there that keep talking about the games, sharing ideas, sharing posts. Like i said, i see your point as a dev, but only posting pics and saying "yey, look what is new" in a site like this, not help in anything, but that is only my 2 cents.
No, it's totally a keepaway. You've given us the first build. Two months ago. When does the public version come out for the second build? Or the third? I'm starting to think it doesn't. And that's just wrong.
Compared to the business practices of almost everyone here, your practices are at least a little scummy.
That's just me, at least. Anywho, you can keep talking about what ya want. I'm unwatching though. Not really meanin' to scare ya off, just it's rather off to me.

Im also slightly frustrated by no recent builds but i understand that you have an idea on how to promote stuff.
Just curious, has this been the way you have always been promoting your games or did you try the whole upload things here before but didnt give results?
I've been promoting games the same way for a few years but over time I've covered more sites and been more consistent in the updates. We've done very well since posting on Newgrounds. Demos do work but putting out old builds will be something we'll try but after a while I want to have a finalized demo that has the first town in its entirety. It'll be a sizable chunk but I expect patrons to have another couple towns at that point. My first priority is to my patrons.
As for not posting anymore previews on here, i just don't want to anger anyone.

I see so there will only be a public version until the town is finished?
And you will anger people no matter what so its not fair for those who arent to lose updates on the game's progress.

If you really want to promote your game, the 100%, without a doubt best way is the have your game on the latest update tab. Its what brings in the most amount of eyes by far. Bumping a thread mainly alerts people who are already aware of the game. I don't quite get whats wrong with releasing build three for free once build four comes out. If anything its more of an advantage to you. Patreons have a new build to enjoy, poor bois have something to enjoy, and you get more eyes on your project.

From what I understand the last build is the second build so that would be the one we'll release at the end of this month.
