No such thing as 'unpatchable.' Code written by a human can be understood and modified by another human. Whether it's worth the time and effort required to do so is another matter entirely...
To me an "unpatchable" scenario would be when the plot and interactions between characters leave no room for incest. A forced i-patch would make no sense in some story arcs. If you need to go as far as making changes to the plot, then it would no longer be a "patch".
Yep, most of the time those type of "patches" only make the game worse

So tired of generic VNs at this point. I'm starting to require a little more gameplay than just scrolling through some dialogue.

Straight up VNs would be fine if the writing was good but most of them are just so boring
Good graphics (renders and animation) are a rarity in this kind of games. But good writing (plot / characters / dialogue) is even much more rare.
Getting good/interesting new rpg hentai is so rare. Most get boring after 20 minutes. I can't believe but Kamidori AM is still more fun than 95% H of games released after. There are better looking, even more fun to play, but those really good ones are often short or super rare.

If you were a good writer, would you write porn games, or would you spend your time writing stuff that will make a lot more money and actually be respectable?
The talent pool for decent writing in AVNs is about as deep as a mud puddle.

I'm personally not a writer, but from most actual authors I do know of actually like to take a break and write something else. A lot of them genuinely like writing. They might get tired and burn out from one series, but not burnout from writing in general, infact a lot of times taking a break to write something else stops them from getting burnout.Would you do the same thing as a hobby that you get paid to do as a job? Anyway I do know of at least one dev who is an actual professional writer. I'm not saying they all are or even most I'm just saying there I'm just saying the fact someone writes Adult games doesn't really have any reflection on their writing ability.
I've been trying to give it a go to finish what the restoration patch hadn't gotten to yet. It's been going fairly smooth... But god dammit now I've now hit a roadblock with the fucking mall date and it is a bitch to figure out if it can be fixed. Neither the basic iPatch, American Taboo, or the restoration mod do jack shit to make that dialogue make sense. So one path is that Sara is harping on how she wants everyone to know that she is dating the MC. The other is them both shrugging off people knowing he is dating Sara as at most risking a little social embarrassment. Keeping in mind that with the restoration mod framework not only are they biological siblings, but with ages reverting to ICSTOR's original ones the MC is an 18 year old high school senior and his sister is although not directly stated, strongly implied to be a 13-14 year old 8th grader. So yeah.... Neither of them should be thinking that letting everyone intentionally know they're dating is remotely a good idea and just risking a "minor" embarrassment... And they keep repeating that shit and having conversations about it and I'm struggling to figure out if I can change the plot of this stupid ass scene and all the related ones to make any sense...
