Apparently the review won't be removed because the mods can't be bothered to fact check.

This is truly sad, but I have run into the same problem with a different game. Apparently, reviewers can lie their asses off about a game with impunity. I could understand it if the mods had to actually play the game to verify a report, but when you have done the work for them and all they have to do is look at the tags and/or genre to verify, and they still refuse to do their job it's like I said... just sad.

But you know what? The mods will go out of their way to remove this post and yours. Because no matter what, mods are above all reproach. :(

I don't worry too much about such "reviews". When people point out the really weak sides of my game (for example, poor translation), I feel like I deserve a decrease in the rating of the game. And this motivates me to improve the weaknesses of the game. But when I read something like that, I just realize that it's not true, it doesn't cause any motivation or even emotions, except laughter for me.
You right.. what a great response im with you Lazy Monkey

I really love this game. Be it the story, the setting or the characters. Also Kudos to the dev for the quick and consistent updates.

But if I have to tell about a weak link in this otherwise awesome game it would be the MC. For someone who is supposed to be the chosen one irrespective of the path he isn't strong enough, not smart/cunning enough, or talented/skillful enough. Almost all the time he feels like he is carried by others and the only reason he is alive is because of his position. Everyone around him be it Cass, Elin or the Queen seem deadly on their own even without their stature but mc doesn't even seem like a threat when compared to them. Also, a lot of the times he just seems to be lead on by others with barely any ideas/plans/schemes of his own. From time to time we can see he can be a bit vicious, but outside of it he doesn't seem to be improving be it character wise or strength wise. Also the class system feels unnecessary because its not like the game doesn't have enough branching outside of this and it feels more like a handicap than a perk. Even in his own class MC doesn't shine enough. Warrior isn't imposing enough, Mage barely uses magic in any fights, bookworm is kinda okay in his element but overall still weak. Heck, sometimes I feel even if I combine all the classes of MC he still is weak when compared to others. Also I feel the MC should have known a bit of elvish even outside of the bookworm path or at least on the mage path too. On top of that he doesn't carry himself like a prince/royalty. It would have been acceptable in the beginning due to his exile but even after becoming the regent he isn't commanding or imposing enough and at times feels more like a clown than a king. Also he is a bit of a horny ape and unnecessarily forceful in even some love route scenes like the scenes with Aurora. If he becomes king/emperor as he is now he would not deserve it and would be a weak or puppet ruler. So, I think its high time he got development be it his character/behavior or strength/skills.

And outside of that a minor complaint is the weird angles during the sex scenes especially during the latest updates. I know animating is time consuming especially considering the pace at which dev pumps out updates but it would be better to have fewer scenes with good angles than many handjobs or watching only MC's butt and balls during scenes. I remember the dev's previous game having great scenes. If animating multiple angles is tough even static renders showing different/better angles between animations is just fine. Also the scene with Valeria in the latest chapter is such a waste of potential. The MC refusing to go for a 2nd time with her after barely having any sex for weeks is kinda surprising/annoying. It's not like he has stamina problems we saw him go back to back like seven times with Isis during the wedding night.

Anyways sorry for the rant. I wish a lot more success to this awesome game and good health/luck to the dev Lazy_Monkey.

I agree with you on the camera angles stuff but not with the MC

If the MC became powerful it would rendered the existence of characters like Cass,Elin,Queen... redundant, they would just become nothing more than LIs for him to fuck and be irrelevant in the story. The way that it is now is much more interesting cause the MC cant do everything by himself, each and every one of them has something that MC lacks that why he needs them. After all he is a King and a wise King surround himself with powerful allies that he can use. Lazy Monkey could show him grow a bit more in these aspect but imo he will never become as strong/smart/talented as them.

For me the point of the perk system was never about him being super talented or passioned about the chosen path. In all 3 perks/paths he is still a bum wasting his life away on booze cause he feel lost. The point is about compatibility with the 3 sisters, Warrior of Cass, Mage for Elin, Bookworm for Lia. MC does not have the bloodlust and drive for revenge/restore the great Empire like Cass, he's not a prodigy and love magic like Elin does, the exception maybe is bookworm where he does seems to likes books and knowledge as much as Lia(but u could argue that Lia has more drive than him cause she's stuck in the castle all her life).

I feel like the manipulation thing is much more realistic cause he just returned to court after 10 years, he doesnt know shit abt court politics and it plays into the prophecy thing abt the 3 snakes. If you follow Cass then it would be much more apparent. After the coup you could see him talking strategy with Aurora and Isis before going West showing that he is thinking abt how to handle the situation so that he could have an advantage. In the next update u will see how much your scheme will play out whether you choose to back the Resistance, the Lords or try for peace.

About him not acting like a sovereign, again he just returned from 10 years in exiles, in those 10 years hes basically a civilian with money. If suddenly after the coup he start acting like a King would then it would be completely out of character. I agree that that needs to happen, just not right now, he needs to face and overcome more challenges, then either grow to be a Emperor that rules with and iron fist or a benevolent King that bring peace to both elves and humans.

That just my thoughts on this subject, I've seen people criticized the perk system as being not impactful enough in this thread many times but i found myself never fully agree with them. Its not perfect of course (it would be nice to have more options like Sona with other perks) but the perks for me were never "paths", the "paths" are the choices you made in the story itself.

Your English is just fine brother.

Sorry if I came a bit too strong against the MC. I didn't mean to bash the MC, I think he is okay as he is at the start but as the game is progressing he needs to improve too. When I said the MC should be better I don't mean immediately just eventually. It's true a wise king should surround himself with powerful allies but he himself should have at least a modicum of strength or else he will have to dance to the tunes of the others. I don't mean that Elin or the queen would betray him or anything, he can depend on them from time to time but he should not be entirely reliant on them or others around him. Also I don't think if the MC is strong the LI's will be irrelevant. Given the state of the world even if he is strong he needs all the help he can get to succeed. For now it is okay for him to be dependent on others as he is out of his depth but sooner or later he should have a plan/agenda of his own. As of now when I think of the characters it reminds me of that three dragons meme where others are looking fierce with MC being the one with bulgy eyes looking derpy among them.

As for the perks I agree it helps relating to main LI's a bit, but I think it's too much effort for the dev for little payoff. Also he doesn't need to be super talented or anything like some of the LI's but at least he should feel competent which I don't feel like he is especially in my mage run(which I consider my main playthrough). It need not be immediate but at least he should get better down the line. My issue is just he doesn't show any signs of even wanting to improve his skills as of now though it might change given time. As for behaving like a sovereign you are right that he needs some time and face more challenges before growing into that role.

Anyway my overall take is just that if the MC wants to be a strong ruler he has a lot of growing to do be it character or skills/strength/scheming and I'm pretty hopeful that the dev has plans for it in the future.

I agree with this take. Not that I want MC to become another OP protagonist for whom the women just fall over, but we need a training montage ASAP!

So far, most of the important choices in the story are "Choose the side of this person" or "Ally yourself with this other person".
Rarely is there an option to have MC think up a plan - instead he just follows the plans that people close to him came up with.

Game of Thrones showed us how dangerous court politics can be, but MC still hasn't fully grasped that his life and future depend on him playing his own game rather than relying on partners to guide him.

As for the Perk system tmihee : it is being wasted on just "Affinity" towards certain LIs, when it should impact the game in more ways - but this seems more of an issue of how LM didn't communicate properly the benefits of throughout the story (something only ascertained by playing the game itself).

The only thing at the moment really pointing at the MC being chosen/special is the fact that his blood somehow turns vampires into hulk versions.

I mean that's just because he's royalty. From what she was saying it sounded like the same thing would happen with Elin and Lia.

Any theory about what the "moonlight" blood can be referring to?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Iron blood is certainly from the king's side.
Given the speech about twins being reflection, the one with moonlight blood could be MC's cousins. The first thing that comes to mind would be werewolf blood. Vampire are already in the game but I don't remember a single mention to werewolfs, so I dunno.

There should be a third choice in this scene. I don't like the coup nor the "Golden Order" Because if you agree to the coup it's look like Cassandra is "Controlling" you or being influenced by her. Then if you reject the offer you are now following the "Golden Order" which I don't give a shit about it really. If there are a third option which Mc decides to himself instead of following these two paths. It would be like Bing Chilling the fk out your ass out Cassandra wait for me to be a king or Emperor and I will fix these problems in the Empire. The thing is Cassandra is scared of the Mc follows the "Golden Order" and the Mc will be just like the King, in which what happened if you reject her offer respect the "Golden Order" said by the Mc. Like shut the fk up Mc, I'm not following no one.

yea problem with following established characters sometimes is that they are limited by the devs own knowledge and personality. meaning if the dev isn't familiar with how a smart person would act, then protag can come off brain dead. dev doesn't know music, musician protag comes off as tone deaf etc.

dev thinks being "strong" is wimping out and sticking to a bad system they KNOW is bad, this happens.

seriously both of those options were ass. where's the third where Cassandra keeps her dignity and we avoid the coup? i.e a solution a smart protaginist with balls would figure out? killing her doesn't count.

I honestly don't really see how ignoring the coup really does anything story wise or is really benificial. It sounds more like you're jut saying you don't care about the coup there for it's bad idea rather than actually listing why it's a bad idea. Like the option to just what for the king to kick the bucket. How many years would that take? How many times is the king going to continuously make decisions they feel is harmful to the empire/kingdom? Is Cass just supposed to accept the fact that her father likely murdered her mother?

my suggestion would be a hail mary by MC where he (depending on standing and character class) can convince her to wait and trust him. king gets poisoned and she's like "holy shit how'd he know?!"

could also involve Isis using her spies to figure out king was already poisoned, and MC uses this to convince her a coup is not necessary. This requires a high relationship with both Isis (to get intel) and Cass (to convince her to wait).

could argue this isn't 'realistic' but neither is magic nor your little sister being THIS desperate to jump your meat.... or your future 'daughter' too with Isis for that matter. (i've seen enough of these games to know where that relationship is heading).
